The house is inside a private condominium with access to a particular river beach, and has a large orchard with organic, delicious and healthy food. Don't miss this true experience of connecting with Nature in the heart of Elqui Valley. The space The space is simple and very cozy. It is an agroecological and sustainable hut of 34 m2, built of mud, stone and wood, where austerity is the queen, with the unique goal of connecting with the truly essential. This is a shared space for living room, kitchen, office and bedroom; with separate full bathroom and hot water. It has large windows that allow for day and night light to enter. The nights are quiet and quiet. The layout of the curtains is intended to block the view into the house and also to block some annoying reflections of artificial lights. Other important windows are bare so you can enjoy the environment in which you live. You will be able to gaze at the sky, the stars and the big tree that shelters the house. Contemplating and enjoying. The apartment is muddy, and some carpets make the space nice cozy. It is important to go barefoot to avoid the wear and tear of it and keep the environment free of external dirt. We are very careful with the habits of purity and well-being in our space. In the bathroom, the papers in the dumpster. Next to the large tree there is a fire pit to burn the papers. Do not burn plastics. Plastics come together in bags and go to the dumpster outside. The organic comes together in the kitchen and then goes to the bucket that is under the pepper, leaving the kitchen on the right. Then I take that away from me and take it to composting. Separate your trash. We have a plastic, glass and can collection point half a block away. Avoid chemicals of any kind. It is forbidden to pour chemicals through any of the drains. We have a store with products made by us and other small rural producers. They are 100% natural and artisan products that you will be able to enjoy. All are priced and must be paid if consumed. In the convenience store you find freezing drinks for immediate consumption. Here the water is drinkable and from piping to ambient temperature. The water in the canal is suitable for bathing but not for ingesting it. About 100m, up, is the Casa Museo de Gabriela Mistral that contains some objects and relics from the period in which Gabriela gave classes with her sister in that place, which was also her house. Then comes the Plaza de Montegrande with its church Nuestra Señora del Carmen de Montegrande, built in neoclassical style in the 19th century and delivered to the community on November 29, 1870, being the oldest in the commune of Paihuano, and where Gabriela Mistral made her first communion in 1896. In the plaza you also find the Feria Artesanal de Montegrande, trolleys of fast food and some restaurants. Walking a few meters further into the interior of the Valley, is the Mausoleum of Gabriela Mistral where her body rests thanks to the intervention of Pablo Neruda before the Government of Chile who had arranged that his bones would rest in Santiago. Therefore it would have been Pablo Neruda who intercedes so that Gabriela's dream of resting in her native Montegrande, was fulfilled.
