Welcome to our family-run guest house — a place made with love, care, and a touch of magic. This is a warm, lived-in space full of soul — not a place of polished perfection or hotel-like formality. Dragonflies symbolise the strength to overcome hard times. They remind us to reconnect with our inner courage, joy, and peace — and that’s exactly what this little house is meant for. So when you stay here, may you touch dragonflies and stars, dance with fairies, and talk to the moon. εïз The space Dragonfly Lake House is located in the small village of Vilkene, 100 km from Riga and just 11 km from the Baltic Sea. This modern countryside retreat is perfect for couples, families, and friends. Surrounded by a scenic lake and open fields, it offers a peaceful escape into nature. The house is fully equipped for a comfortable and relaxing stay. However, being this close to nature means you may occasionally encounter small visitors like spiders, mosquitoes, or other little creatures. If a perfectly sterile environment is what you’re after, this may not be the right fit. But for those who appreciate natural beauty and simplicity, this is a truly special place to unwind. Guest access Prepare yourself a cozy breakfast or dinner — our house has a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need to cook simple meals, including your morning coffee or tea. All essentials for preparing breakfast are available. A few steps from the lake, you’ll find our jacuzzi (available for an extra charge of €70). The hydromassage and warm water jets offer full-body relaxation with a view of the peaceful lake. During the day, enjoy the sun by the lakeshore or spot the dragonflies dancing along the water's edge. The spacious terrace is perfect for relaxing evenings and watching the sunset in calm silence. We provide coffee and tea, grill (charcoal must be brought by guests), towels, bed linens, free parking, and Wi-Fi for your comfort. Other things to note Jacuzzi rent costs 70 Eur. If you decide to rent the jacuzzi, we will provide you with kindling and firewood, but you will have to fire it yourself. Two SUP Puddles cost 20 Eur / 24h. If possible, let us know if you want to use the jacuzzi, reserve SUP before your stay. Boat and fishing are included at no extra cost. One of the bedrooms is upstairs so please consider that if you are more than 4 guests, then some guests will need to climb the stairs to get to the upstairs sleeping area.
