Our huge suite boasts the most comfy king bed, fluffy organic linens & towels, blazing fast Wi-Fi, huge Roku Tv, enormous bathroom-shower, bathtub, washer/dryer, a modern couch for lounging, & of course, the best coffee in town! The space We warmly welcome you to one of our best & most well appointed suites, #208 - located at the end of the east wing of our historically renowned and recognized 24,000 square foot, circa 1917 Georgian Revival mansion. Built on a fortune made right here in the Lehigh Valley, from the bygone era of hand loomed silk design & manufacturing, our 5th street mansion is the original home of Monsieur Desiderius, a dapper & vivacious gentleman of Austrian royal descent. He was most notably recognized as the best dressed gentleman of the century, with his trusty companion, ZigZag the Dachshund, never far from his side. Outrageous, week long. lavish parties were thrown here for decades & no expense was ever spared. We think suite 208 is no exception & is the perfect homage to our founding father- it is the quintessential luxurious place to stay & a way for wanderlust travelers of all backgrounds to experience a little bit of what made this home so famous ! It is worth mentioning, that throughout the Lehigh Valley, many of the nearby silk mills that once belonged to the mansion, can be still seen today, many are still intact & historically meritorious. It is rumored that this mansion was erected on a former site of an actual monastery. This has been the site of many movies, photo shoots, and music videos! We have 3 ballrooms, hip decor, & thanks to our President, a major patron of the arts and historic preservation, the home is finally returning to its former glory, after many years of being forgotten & closed.
