Description

The LE GROTTE DI SILENO agriturismo is located in Puglia, more precisely in Castellaneta. It is located on an ancient archaeological site occupied over the centuries by the Peuceti, Greeks and Romans up to the Normans and surrounded all around by thousand-year-old olive trees, vineyards and historical artifacts reminiscent of a time that was. Welcome to the Grotte di Sileno farm and welcome to the beautiful Terra delle Gravine! The space Now RELAX in contact with nature, and enjoy your "Apulian experience", the smells and flavors typical of this wonderful land. The stress of the city will be only a distant memory, you can completely detoxify, enjoy the traditions of the past that have made Puglia famous all over the world or stroll through the centuries-old olive groves that seem to have been cut in two: in reality it is the tree itself that has made this separation of the trunk. You can visit our archaeological site, stroll between a dry stone wall and an ancient sarcophagus, collect aromatic herbs and finally take care of yourself, savoring the pleasure of slow but intense living. The experience you will have at the Grotte di Sileno cannot be told, but only lived, so I look forward to seeing you at our agriturismo. Spacious room, tastefully furnished, paying homage to Planet Earth and above all the rurality of Puglia, a land rich in emotions, flavors, and smells that transmits solidity and hope. Ideal for a relaxing stay, where you can regain your strength after days of visits and various adventures. Other things to note The 24 hectares that make up the Tenuta de le Grotte di Sileno are located on an archaeological site occupied over the centuries by the Peuceti, Greeks and Romans, up to the Normans and then the Benedictines. As evidenced by the findings of ancient cellars and the extraordinary thousand-year-old olive trees, oil and wine have always been produced in this part of Puglia. This tradition proceeds in respect of tradition and the territory with a great passion of the owners that favors the constant search for organic farming methods and a sparing use of water resources.
