Colonial House on 75 acres, pond, stream

Come for one month or more. Perfect getaway to see the autumn foliage or have a winter getaway in Warwick, NY. Located on a rural road, our four bdrm colonial home with 2 living rooms with fireplaces, dining room and country kitchen, is centered in 60 acres with views of our beautiful pond, open fields, fenced pastures and kitchen garden, woods and streams. 50 minutes from the George Washington Bridge. Parties, pets, hunting and photo shoots allowed with notice and payment of additional fees. The space The house is a four bedroom center hall colonial, overlooking a beautiful hillside, huge lawns with oak, sycamore, maple , mulberry and apple trees, our pond, and fenced pastures. Either side of the center hallway are the two living rooms, each with a fireplace, and the dining room and kitchen. The den has comfortable convertible sofa, tv and sound system providing comfortable accommodation for guests with the guest bathroom nearby. Up the central staircase are four bedrooms and two bath rooms. The master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom, while the shared bathroom is off of the central hall upstairs. There is a two room finished basement, with an office desk, electric keyboard, tv, comfortable sofas and easy chairs, a wonderful sound system and a treadmill and weight station. The washer and dryer are in the attached laundry room. The front of the house overlooks the huge lawn, with lawn furniture and eight person wood picnic table and the pond, while the side of the house overlooks the hillside, fields and woods. There is a back patio off the kitchen, also with outdoor furniture. We built the house in 1980, using 18th C. doors, floors and windows and have filled it with antique furnishings. There is plenty of free wood for the fireplaces. The property is often used for fashion shoots because of its beautiful views and colonial charm. We have the best deer run in the area, plenty of turkeys and allow hunting with license and special permission and fees in season. One month booking but we’re happy of you leave early as we live here and will move back in. Guest access Guests have access to all areas except the el where our caretaker lives in her own apartment with private entrance. Other things to note This is an animal friendly home with notice, permission and payment of a fee. No smoking inside. Cleaning every two weeks by our staff is required and catering for events is available.
