THE LAKE HAUS- bright, spacious, family friendly!

Forget your worries in this spacious home on a quiet street- a 3 min drive or 15 min walk to the beach. Equipped with 1 king, 1 queen, 1 bunkbed & a twin, (and a pack'n'play- just let us know). Features a large open concept kitchen, dishwasher and Keurig machine (BYOPods).The main floor walks out to a sunny deck with a natural gas BBQ, fire pit and a large fenced in yard. The lower level has a flat screen TV with Netflix, children’s play area, washer, dryer and office work space w monitor. The space Your home away from home is bright, spacious, clean, and equipped with amenities to make your stay comfortable. Relax and unwind with your loved ones after a day at the beach, venture out on the trails, or stay in and watch your favorite movie or play a board game. The open space living room and updated kitchen, has a large island for food prep and entertaining, and walks out onto a private patio. Enjoy a large fenced in large yard on a quiet street, while eating a delicious meal you have grilled on the natural gas BBQ. When the sun goes down, there are a range of sleep options. The master has a queen bed, the second room has a queen bed, and the third room has one twin bed and bunk beds. Note to guests with children, we have a Pack and Play, high chair, baby bath, children's cups/plates etc., a sprinkler, and a play area in the recreation room, and a safety gate (please request that these items be left out for you when you make your booking, as we store then away for more space for guests who don't need). The home has two washrooms, one with a jacuzzi tub and the other with a shower. Bed linens, bath and beach towels towels are all provided, and there is a washer and dryer onsite, as well as a clothing line in the backyard. Your vacation home is a couple of steps from the Ridge Trail that provides walking access to the beach (15 min walk total), or is a quick 3 min drive away to the Main Beach. Note: we recommend driving to the beach if you have young children, 'packing light' with kids is a hard ask. Also, instead of the Main beach, we recommend Gobbles Grove beach (a smaller, much less busy beach about 1-2 minutes drive south of the Main beach. There is a playground and washrooms there as well). This home is the perfect base to explore all that Saugeen Shores and its surrounds have to offer. We look forward to hosting you and your loved ones! Guest access Self check-in via keypad. Guests have full access to the house and yard with the exception the padlocked crawlspace in the basement, and the shed at the back of the house. There is private parking for three cars in the driveway and street parking in front of the house available as well. Note: if using the hose outside, please use the one attached the house. The house is a five minute drive to downtown Port Elgin for access to groceries, restaurants, LCBO/Beer store, pharmacy, and shopping etc. Other things to note NOTE! The BBQ is natural gas that is connected to the gas line in the home. Please refer to the laminated guide for directions, and don't hesitate to reach out to us for any questions, concerns or assistance with starting it. Please respect our quiet neighbourhood. No parties and no excessive noise or loud music past 10pm please. Local Bylaws will be enforced. The BBQ and fire pit in the backyard is to be used responsibly and at your own risk. No smoking allowed in the house. Climbing wall in the rec room-please do not leave young children unsupervised on the climbing wall in the rec room. Max climbing age is 5 years old or under 50 pounds.
