Ark-imedes was designed for the ultimate self-care indulgence that we all deserve. Immerse yourself in nature! The space For some guests Ark-imedes is a weekend escape, for some a lengthy retreat. Whatever it is for you, the Ark is a place to relax, celebrate, love, laugh, re-charge and enjoy the wonderful nature right on the river. Ark-imedes boasts a fully functioning kitchen, including electric oven, gas cooktop, microwave and dishwasher. If you want to completely relax and bring food to heat up or if your relaxation includes whipping up your favourite delights, this kitchen is ideal. With a full size fridge and freezer there is plenty of room for your food and beverages. If you prefer to cook outside there is a bbq on the deck where you can cook while watching the pelicans and swans on the river. Additional little touches include a Nespresso compatible pod machine and a toasty maker. Pantry staples include black tea, a selection of herbal teas, coffee, sugar, long life milk, cooking oil, salt and pepper. Enjoy your breakfast at the breakfast bar which opens onto the front deck, taking in the picturesque views of the river and watch the variety of birdlife that gather around the home. The breakfast bar is also equipped with a power point and USB connection providing a laptop friendly workspace where you can utilise the free WiFi. The bedroom is perfectly situated for you to wake up to the tranquil views of the Murray River. Equipped with a motorised blind, you can stay in bed while you welcome in the morning sunshine. The queen bed is luxuriously appointed with quality linen and covers. You also have plenty of space to unpack in the 2 wardrobes. Stepping out of the bedroom doors you walk straight onto the decking where you can adjourn to the egg chairs with your morning coffee. The designer bathroom is spacious and beautifully appointed with quality fittings. After a hard day relaxing, paddling or swimming, enjoy the beautiful sensation of the rain shower coupled with our fragranced bath wash. Our comfy lounge area is tucked away for when you are ready to snuggle in for the evening to watch some TV or read a good book. We understand that we all need a getaway at any time of the year. So we have made sure our floating home is ready to accommodate you during the cold winter months with an indoor eco fire. Picture those cold, rainy winter days where you can escape the chaos and retreat to the peace and quiet of the river. Bring a good book, a pampering face mask and your empty mind to enjoy a cosy winter hideaway. To ensure you are comfortable all year round the home has split system heating and cooling. Our decking area is complete with sun lounges to soak up the beautiful Australian sunshine. We have 2 kayaks for you and your friend to enjoy on the river with life jackets for your safety. In the evenings you can rug up on the egg chairs with the luxurious blankets provided and take in the most spectacular uninterrupted night skies. For some quiet time adjourn to the hammock to watch the river. Hidden around the corner of the decking is a hot water outdoor shower for a quick rinse off after your swim. But the best is yet to come! Further along the side decking is our hot water bath tub. Enjoy bathing in this luxury tub, letting the worries of the world soak away while nestled amongst the willow trees. Add the sachet of organic bath wash and enjoy a glass of wine while you breath in the serenity. Guest access Ark-imedes is all yours to enjoy alone. The whole property is yours to appreciate as your own tiny home, complete with wrap around deck, sun lounges, egg chairs, hammock, umbrella, BBQ, outdoor bath tub and outdoor rain shower. Other things to note Ark-imedes is located securely within a gated marina. Your keys will be in a self check-in key safe. Free parking is available alongside the river directly outside the home. We ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. You will notice on arrival that the Ark is sparkling. If you have any concerns please contact me direct. There are plenty of birds, swans and other wildlife on the river. We provide cornflakes to feed the swans and canned corn for fishing (apparently this is to their taste!). Please don't feed the wildlife bread as it's not good for them.
