Description
I work at the Uni and often host mature students, visiting lecturers, as well as business professionals, guests eating at Moor Hall and those attending West Tower weddings and events at Aintree racecourse. Initially I prefer to personally welcome guests into my home and share my local knowledge to ensure their stay is as comfortable and stress-free as possible. The space You are booking a private room in my home, which is set in a rural area but only 30 minutes from Liverpool city centre. The property is at one end of a small, quiet cul-de-sac, opposite fields. This light and airy room is compact but with adequate storage. There is a modern kitchen and walk-in shower room. Towels are provided and soap. Please ask if you need anything. Although the room is not en-suite, I only rent out this one room, so you would only be sharing the facilities with me and I try to keep out of your way. Please bring slippers as I prefer outdoor shoes not to be worn inside. You are welcome to use cooking facilities, however, I would prefer you to eat in the kitchen or dining area rather than in the bedroom. Unfortunately, as it is a rural hamlet, Bickerstaffe is not connected to mains gas, so I have a hot water tank, but a powerful shower. I offer a 'help yourself' breakfast (cereals, toast, coffee, tea etc.) - please advise of any dietary requirements in advance of your stay. I will usually be on-hand to help you out, should you require any information about the local area. Guest access Check-in time can be earlier most days other than a Friday, when I work until 8pm, so please message your ask. Use the check-in details in the Arrival Guide to find the exact location. There is plenty of driveway parking. Feel free to use the garden & patios. You are welcome to use my kitchen/ dining area. If you are booked for over 7 days and wish to use the washing machine, please ask. During your stay I personally welcome guests and try to fit in with their preferred check-in/ out times. Check-in time can be earlier on most days, other than a Friday, so please message me to ask. I am usually around to offer advice about the local area, amenities, give directions etc. I speak reasonably fluent French and Spanish. I have knowledge of Italian and Mandarin too. Other things to note Check-in time can be earlier on mist days other than a Friday. Message me to ask. Use the check-in details on the Arrival Guide to find the exact location. Edge Hill University is 2 miles away. There are plenty of local routes for short walks in the local countryside. We have a mountain bike track in local woods. 'Bickerstock' is Bickerstaffe's free, music festival held annually on the first weekend in August.
