Lightning Bug Cottage is cute 900sqf house located on Sewanee's campus! The Cottage has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom and a full kitchen. The cottage also boasts a huge wraparound porch and wooded lawn filled with native flowers. The backyard is a bird watcher's paradise! This is a beloved family home that we love to use and are excited to share with you! This home feels like a family vacation home. Per University policy the home is only available during University sponsored or approved events. The space This house has a living room that opens onto a kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, gas stove & large professional grade Subzero refrigerator. The home has 3 bedrooms. There is a bedroom with a double bed, master with a queen bed and one with a single bed. You walk through the room with the twin bed to get to the bedroom with the queen bed. 0 Guest access You are welcome to use the entire home! The house has a wonderful and spacious wrap-around porch with several seating areas and a dining table. We spent many years cultivating the yard to attract an array of birds, so the porch is perfect for bird watching! Other things to note Please email or text for specific questions regarding renting. Pricing is an average of $250 per night with a 2-night minimum except during Commencement/Graduation each year. Due to the high demand, the rate for Commencement is $1900 flat rate for minimum 6 nights/7 days. We don't book more than 1 year out. We are somehow now in the Lake category. We are very close to Lake Cheston which is a great lake for relaxing and swimming in but this is not a lake house.
