Comfortable and cozy 12X12 queen bedroom. Americana decor with antique dresser and mirror creates an atmosphere of carefree days gone by. Leave the stress behind as you relax and unwind. Two windows overlook the front pond with fountain and dock. Desk with chair, luggage rack, hangers, full length mirror, extra pillows & blanket. Shared bath. The space Our home is an old farmhouse that has been lovingly restored. Located on forty acres, creating a quiet country setting. Restaurants, grocery stores and gas stations near by. Guest access The kitchen table and island bar are available for meals or the dining room table may be used. Microwave, stove and refrigerator may also be used. There are gas and charcoal grills on patio. Hot tub is available. We provide beach towels. During your stay This is our private residence and we do live in our home full time. We have two indoor Labradors and a German Shepherd outdoors. We will be here to greet you in person and show you to your room, along with a tour of the spaces available to guests and answer any questions you have. All our rooms require going up and down steps. Other things to note The Americana Room is one of three spaces in our full time home that we list on AirB&B. The other listings are “The Seaside Room” and “The Retreat Room”. We invite you to check out the reviews posted on the above mentioned rooms also, as the rooms are in the same house as the Americana. We realize that our place is not the perfect fit for everyone, as hosts we work hard to accommodate our guests. We are passionate about hosting as this has been a long time dream of ours. We hope you give us a visit if you’re passing through, visiting family, for reunions, weddings, funerals. In the area for a job, hunting or just checking out the rich history of our area. We live in a rural area and we have a well for our water supply and septic tank. A well is a great source for natural minerals that come from the earth but well water also has its challenges which could possibly include iron, though not harmful could at times have an odor. We do use a water softener. We share our home with two Labrador retrievers. Zoe is three and Judah is two. They will bark when you pull in the driveway but make friends real fast. They are gentle and well behaved. We also have a German shepherd that is outdoors. Wildlife you may see while you’re here are deer, turkey, geese, ducks, eagle or blue heron and a few rabbits and squirrels 🐿️ The Americana room is located in the main hallway upstairs beside and across from our personal space. We do require a photo of each guest that will be staying. Anyone other than the booking guest must be registered and the additional fee paid. If this has not been done you can always alter the reservation upon arrival.
