Apartment in the center of Bistrița/Km0, Transylvanian Saxon house
Apartament 42.2
Description
The apartment is located in a Transylvanian Saxon house, in the heart of BISTRIȚA, next to the Evangelical Church, where the pedestrian center begins with the multitude of terraces and restaurants. We are 7 min from Lidl (through Central Park) and 15 min from the train station (walking). It is newly rehabilitated and offers all the necessary comfort, with an inner courtyard with free parking. It can be a destination for those eager to get to know the city, but it can also be a stop for hikers on Via Transilvanica. The space The interior space of the apartment preserves the atmosphere of the 15th century, being outlined by the walls (90 cm thick) of stone and brick, in sight. The refurbishment of the rooms was carried out using the construction elements of those times: wood for doors, windows, interior furniture and design elements; stone and brick for the delimitation of spaces; metal for the lighting system and interior and exterior furniture. The present is marked by the underfloor heating system and rustic-looking appliances. Because in 1457 the old Council House (City Hall) burned down together with the entire archive, the Saxon house no. 42 of which the apartment is part, exists in the records only since 1882. The outdoor space consists of a common entrance "under the gate", a courtyard and a common garden beautifully outlined by stone and brick walls, 4 meters high. Because the apartment is on the ground floor, tourists benefit from a small private terrace overlooking the courtyard and garden, but also their own parking. Guest access Because the apartment is in a Saxon house, in the form of the letter "U", and the courtyard is fortified by stone walls, access is only through the gate provided with an intercom.
