Get away from it all when you stay under the stars! Tranquil Glen Hide is an ideal base from which you can explore the stunning Isle of Skye. We recommend guests stay at least three nights in order to explore what the island has to offer :) Many of the most popular tourist sites are a short drive away: Old Man of Storr; Lealt Falls; Kilt Rock; Quiraing; Fairy Glen; Coral Beach; Neist Point; Talisker Distillery; Fairy Pools and the Cuillin mountains. The space The cabin is self contained and has a large decking outside where you can relax in the sun or under the shade of the canopy! The cabin has an ensuite bathroom with shower, wc and washbasin. Towels and toilet roll are provided. The main living area is open plan with cooking, sleeping and dining area. The kitchen is equipped with oven, hob and grill - a kettle, toaster, fridge and washbasin. Tea, coffee, sugar, salt, pepper and cooking oil are provided. Pots and pans are in the cupboard under the sink. Crockery is on the shelves above. The sleeping area consists of a super King bed that sleeps two persons with corner window view to the Cuillin mountains. Sheep and deer can often be spotted in the field outside and if you are lucky you might catch a glimpse of the Sea Eagle! There is a a small dining area consisting of table and two chairs. Further seating is provided outside on the deck area. There is under floor and wall panel infra-red heating to keep you cosy, which can be adjusted on request. In the summer time we provided a floor standing fan. There is black out blinds fitted to the bedroom windows for shading during the day and privacy at night time. Safety equipment - fire extinguisher, fire blanket, smoke detector, carbon monoxide alarm and emergency lighting - are fitted to the property. Guest access The entire cabin is at your disposal. There is free parking behind the cabin which is shared with the neighbouring cabin - Tranquil Glen Tiny Lodge. The property is accessed from the township road, a single track lane leading from the main highway. Other things to note We are very happy to provide help and advice regarding things to see and do during your stay. Please just ask on arrival, or before you plan your trip. We will be happy to help. We advise visitors to bring a car in order to make the most of all that Skye has to offer. Skye is a big island so although exploring by bike or bus is possible, it will take longer than you may have allowed for your trip. Public transport is limited and non-existent on Sundays. We have increased our vigilance in terms of cleaning and preparing your lodge. Our cleaning score reflects 100% satisfaction from customer reviews to date and we aim to maintain and improve our existing high standards. We have signed up to the Airbnb enhanced cleaning protocol which has been developed in partnership with experts in health and hospitality.
