Lakefront Two Story House & Long Private Beach!

Relax with the family or enjoy a private weekend getaway on this private, waterfront property + large, long private stretch of shoreline & beach. This is a fully equipped home and year round rental. Road is ploughed in winter, fully insulated & heated. Hike, kayak, fish... enjoy campfires in tranquility. Neighbors 400+ feet away. Many amenities-6 kayaks, outdoor games, seating, hammocks, 2 BBQs, firepits, central air & heating, security system, & beautiful views year round. Farm across street The space This property is lakefront. It hosts 1000 feet of private shoreline to hike or explore with sandy & rocky parts, in addition to bedrock with millions of fossils. Multiple outdoor sitting areas with comfortable outdoor furniture & hammocks to relax. We have added a new outdoor shower this season! This two story, two bedroom, two bathroom lake house sleeps 6 guests. Each bedroom has a 180° view of the lake! The master bedroom has a king sized bed with a large flat screen television with Roku guest. The 2nd bedroom is equipped with a trundle bed that opens up to king size, along with a bunk bed, sleeping up to 4 guests with a smaller television. This area can double up as a dedicated workspace with a comfortable chair, computer table, and extra monitor. Both bedrooms walk out onto a upper patio with the lake view. The lower level is open concept including a newly renovated fully stocked kitchen with dishwasher, washer, dryer, all new appliances, an island, dining table that extends out with additional seating for 6, seating area with leather couch & chairs, and big screen television, also with Roku guest. Included is Central Air & Heating, ceiling fans in the bedrooms, outdoor ceiling fans to keep away the mayflies in the summer evenings, and a security system with cameras on the outdoor premises for your comfort & protection. You can secure your stay using the screen in the entrance - ie. alarm system, siren, lighting, etc. There is also a large driveway with multiple parking spots & fenced in driveway and yard. This property has beautiful views all year long and amenities to enjoy each season with comfort. The outdoor patio also has enough room to work comfortably outside even in the rain while taking in the view of the lake. Fresh linens, towels, blankets, kitchenware, drinking water, and first aid kit are all provided. Other Outdoor Amenities We offer 6 Kayaks, lifejackets, 2 BBQs - propane & charcoal , multiple firepits (you may create your own as well on the beach) & firewood. Private fenced in yard, small private boat ramp (not suitable for large boats - please inquire in advance for suitability), and outdoor games such as ladder ball, cornhole, volleyball and badminton, 2 hammocks & 2 hammock chairs. Note - the fiber Wi-Fi will work on the beach closest to the small boat ramp. An EV plug is also available (suitable for most electric vehicles-please inquire in advance). Please inquire if you are looking for additional amenities that may not be listed. We do offer some amenities for small children - ie. travel crib, 2nd smaller bassinette, high chair, booster seat, baby gates, outdoor play yard. etc. Some of these items are not stored at the cottage, advance notice may be necessary. If you book, please inquire for extra amenities and how would like the trundle bed to be set up. Upon special request, we may accept well behaved dogs. Guest access Guests will have private access to the house, yard, beach & shoreline. There are 6 kayaks available for your use as well as a standup paddle board. There are bikes, outdoor games and a new outdoor shower! The property has a gate that can be closed to protect children within a fenced yard. Other things to note Please Read! The tap water does have a UV system but we cannot guarantee that it may be perfect especially for young children. A water cooler is available for you with water jugs (reverse osmosis drinking water) as well as some bottled water. The water is trucked in and considered potable drinking water. However, we are overly cautious especially with small children as it is stored in the cistern. We have installed a UV system and it is most likely safe, however, it is not guaranteed. We conserve waste water as much as possible as it heads into a holding tank & needs to be trucked out. Please don't leave taps running. Flush when necessary. Because fresh tap water is trucked in and stored in a cistern, our guest limit is 6, including children. This is reflective of comfort, space and water usage. Please conserve & notify us immediately if you notice the water level is low so that we may order you more water. If you overuse the water, you may be billed for additional water. Filling the cistern and emptying the septic are very costly. Please do not leave water running from the indoor or outdoor taps. The water levels of Lake Erie will fluctuate twice daily due to high and low tide as well as seasonally. This will affect the amount of beach and sand along the shoreline. The shoreline & water levels can look very different day to day and we cannot guarantee any conditions at any time. The lake is not part of the rental and has public access as any lake does. However, the shoreline is private. It is important to wear water shoes & not go barefoot in the water as rocks and other items often wash up along Lake Erie shores. The bedrock parts may be slippery if there is algae present during early summer. Please do not walk on wet bedrock and always use caution in the water. Do not leave children unattended. There is some old concrete down the shoreline and in the water due to the city trying to prevent erosion in the past. We are trying to get rid of the old concrete and restore the natural beauty of the shoreline. Please do not litter and please be aware that leaving food out will attract unwanted pests, animals, and birds that can smell food a hundred feet away. This property is on the lake and in the country with many wild animals about. It is beautiful to observe these animals in nature but we don't want to feed them on purpose or by accident. It is a good idea to seal up food right away after use both indoors and outdoors, even on the beach. This will also help to reduce your chips and popcorn from getting soft in the summer humidity. Indoors, it is advisable to seal food in tupperware or refrigerate or freeze. A variety of storage containers and tupperware are available for your use. Please take care that the kayaks and other items do not go missing or get destroyed. You are responsible for these items during your stay. If water gets inside of the kayaks, please drain them.
