Peaceful cottage in the heart of lush farmland. Relax with the whole family or plan a girls weekend retreat. Enjoy time on the huge front porch or back covered porch, both overlooking a huge yard. Perfect place to revisit childhood memories (or make new ones) by catching lightening bugs, beautiful sunsets, nearby grazing cattle, and the quiet of the country. Disconnect from the busy of the world to reconnect and relax! The space The cottage is a spacious two bedroom, two bathroom home with open concept floor plan perfect for large gatherings and retreats. The quietness and peaceful surroundings also make for the perfect romantic couple’s weekend. The property is kid and pet friendly and accommodates them well. Step away from the noise of the world and enjoy the quiet for a bit. Extra rollaway beds, cots and air mattresses, as well as a pullout sofa, are available for additional guests registered for the stay. Guest access You’ll have the entire cottage and yard to yourselves. The cottage sits on a large farm where you’ll be surrounded by wide open farmland. You’ll hear cattle, owls, crickets, and sometimes coyotes. You won’t hear road noise, city sirens, or loud barking dogs or neighbors. The yard is kept neatly cut to discourage snakes and ticks but we are in the country and can’t always help their space of choice. The yard is boundary fenced but isn’t secure enough to hold a dog or child that is intent on crossing the fence line. Keep this in mind when brining pets and children. We want everyone to stay safe. Other things to note While our cottage is in the country, we are located minutes (10-15) from a Walmart, grocery stores, and great restaurants. The dirt road the cottage is located on is easily accessible by car. No truck or 4-wheel drive required. Our nearby town has a population of about 3,500 and has a lot to offer. Many great places to explore while staying at the cottage!
