Fun 3 BR Cabin with Hot Tub near Lake and Skiing

Relax and make memories with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Enjoy the nearby lakes, ski resorts, golf courses, and many amenities of the Tahoe Donner HOA. The cabin features a fully equipped kitchen, a wood stove, a 7-person hot tub, two main floor bedrooms, bathroom with heated floors and a rainfall shower, and a loft suite that kids will love. The space This home is the perfect home base for your summer and winter outdoor adventures! The home has central heating and also a wood stove in the main room. Firewood is stocked in the garage for guest use. The main room also has a large sectional couch and a TV with a Roku stick so you can log into all of your own favorite streaming accounts. Our family loves to use this room for movie nights, building puzzles, and playing board games. The back deck has a 7-person hot tub. From June through October, it has a table with six chairs and a gas grill. The table and grill are put away during winter months because roof snow shed has broken them in the past. There are sleds in the garage for those wanting to play in the snow. The cabin also has beach chairs and pool towels for anyone heading to the pool or the lakes. Cooks will enjoy a kitchen with stainless steel KitchenAid appliances and all the kitchenware you’ll need to prepare and serve a full Thanksgiving dinner. Olive oil, salt, and pepper will be provided. There’s a drip coffee pot for your morning drinks and a Ninja blender for your evening drinks. Please reach out to the hosts to inquire about any specific appliance or utensil you expect to need for your meals. On the main floor, there is a King bedroom and a Queen bedroom, each with a closet and extra blankets and pillows. The main floor also offers a bathroom with heated tile flooring and a shower with both a rainfall showerhead and a traditional wand. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and a hair dryer will be available for guests in both bathrooms. Climb the spiral staircase to find a loft suite that is perfect for kids and also comfortable for adults. The loft has two twin beds and a ladder up to a lofted double bed. The loft suite has its own closet and full bathroom with a sliding barn door. Laundry machines are available in the garage. The dryer plug can also be used to charge electric vehicles and an adapter is available to enable Tesla charging cords. There is also a Tesla Supercharger only six minutes away, behind Safeway. Guest access There is space in the driveway for four cars. In the winter, a snowplow service will remove snow from the driveway but obviously cannot plow under parked cars. A shovel and road salt is available, if needed. Guests can enter the front door with a keyless pin pan entry lock. Six guest passes are available to provide up to six guests with access to Tahoe Donner amenities for a daily access fee. Our favorites of these amenities are the downhill ski resort, the golf course, and the private beach and marina at Donner Lake, where guests can swim, launch boats, rent water toys, and enjoy hot food and cold drinks. The guest passes will be invalid on those holiday dates in 2026, set by the HOA to prioritize the experience for resident members: Jan 17-19 (MLK Day) Feb 14-16 (President’s Day) May 23-25 (Memorial Day) July 1-5 (July 4th) Sept 5-7 (Labor Day) Nov 26-29 (Thanksgiving Day) Dec 24-Jan 3, 2027 (Christmas/New Year’s holiday) Some of our favorite activities outside of Tahoe Donner are ziplining at Tahoe Treetop (25 minutes away), snowboarding at Northstar (20 minutes), tubing at Boreal (13 minutes), and hiking the retired Donner Pass train tunnels (20 minutes). Other things to note TRANSIENT OCCUPANCY TAX A 13.25% Town of Truckee Transient Occupancy tax is included in the pricing (Registration Certificate Number: STR21-01519). NO AIR CONDITIONING The house does not have air conditioning. DOORBELL CAMERA A motion-activated doorbell camera is mounted outside the garage door for security. It is aimed away from the cabin and cannot see or hear inside the cabin. Tampering with or intentionally obscuring this camera will be cause for immediate cancellation of the stay without a refund. REFUNDS & PENALTIES Refunds and penalties will be at the host's discretion. The descriptions below are only guidelines to set expectations. Travel Insurance. Purchasing travel insurance to protect your trip is strongly recommended. Cancellations. Our listing uses Airbnb's "Firm" cancellation policy and we adhere to it. In cases where a guest needs to cancel their full stay outside the cancellation window (and politely communicates this), we will attempt to find a new guest for the cancelled period and refund for nights re-booked by new guests, less any Airbnb fees. If a lower nightly rate was needed to re-book the dates, then only that lower amount will be refunded. The re-listing rate will be at the host's discretion. Winter Weather Cancellations. We expect guests to monitor weather forecasts as their visit approaches and to plan appropriately to travel during winter weather. If I-80 is closed for more than 2 hours between 3:00 - 9:00pm, then I will contact the guest to determine if they wish to: (1) cancel the entire stay for a full refund (2) cancel the first night of the stay for a refund of that night's rate (3) continue to attempt to reach the cabin, via an alternate route or waiting for I-80 re-opens Hot Tub Unusable. We appreciate that hot tubs are often a primary reason for choosing our cabin. We also recognize that AirBNB hot tubs can occasionally have problems causing them to be temporarily unusable. If the hot tub is unusable, the refund will be $75 from the cleaning fee plus 25% of each affected night. For a refund, guests must allow the hot tub service to assess the cause of the problem at his earliest availability and to attempt to resolve the issue. If the hot tub service assesses the failure was clearly caused by guest misuse, no refund will be made and the guest will pay a $75+ for the spa cleaner visit. Hot Tub Cancellations. Exceptions to the cancellation policy will not be made if the hot tub is unusable. If the hot tub requires service and will be down for an extended time, we will notify upcoming guests who will be affected as soon as possible. The above policy will be applied: Refunds will be $75 from the cleaning fee and 25% of each affected night. House Rules. Failure to comply with house rules may result in a fine of $500 per night and possible immediate cancellation of the stay. Hot Tub Penalties After a stay, if the hot tub water service determines that a "dump and fill" is required because it has been left too dirty, the guest will be charged $150 for the additional cost of that cleaning. Extra House Cleaning After a stay, if the cleaners are unable to fully return the cabin to its clean condition in the four hours covered by the cleaning fee, the guest will be charged $75/hour for the extra time required.
