The space is on the ground floor. We live on the floor above. 🚘 The paved public road goes as far as the little church of San Leonardo, an 8-minute walk away. Then there's one last stretch on a dirt road. (To get there you pass through the village of Casamazzagno, the road is two-way but with only one lane, in some places it is narrow and you have to stop on the side to let it pass, in case you are afraid you can park in the village square and walk up.) The property is a characteristic "tabia" in stone and wood from 1889 located 1400 meters above sea level. 🏡 It has recently been renovated with a conservative green building intervention that won a regional award. The surrounding land is used for grazing at certain times of the year, as well as a vegetable garden and lawn. The antique larch wood and stone walls have been preserved as they were. The tap water is good to drink. 🚰 Guest access You can also eat at the shared outdoor table. There is a room with two beds and an adjoining room with a sofa bed with two single seats, dining table, fridge, electric hob (cutlery, dishes, pots available) and bathroom with sink, toilet, bidet, shower. Other things to note Without taking the car you can hike on Mount Spina, in the paths of Col Quaternà, an ancient volcano. 🌋 If you are lucky, you can see roe deer under the house. I recommend waking up early in the morning for a better chance, but also during the day and at night listen to the animals of the forest. 🦌 At certain times you will be surrounded by grazing cows. 🐮 DOGS 🐶 maximum 1 small dog with use of own bedding.
