Light Filled Studio with Private Entrance
Light Filled Studio with Private Entrance
Description
Private studio unit with own separate entrance. It’s a residential neighborhood in an up and coming Oakland, but as with any major city, if you go a few blocks in any direction there’s always a mix. Unit is within a short driving distance to downtown. The house is on a busy street and has shared walls. May not be suitable for light sleepers. 7 min walk to Highland Hospital. 10 mins drive to BART Note: furniture and decor subject to change. The space Old craftsman home with some modern updates. Please be gentle with the hardwood floors. Open living space with living room that leads to the bedroom and kitchen. There’s a breakfast nook that can be used as a workstation/office. The laundry area is shared with another unit. Please knock before entering. Keep the laundry lock engaged at all times for privacy when not using the laundry room. Other things to note If you book for 31 days you can avoid paying the Oakland transient tax of 14% and avail of monthly discount. 3 units on property. Please be mindful of other guests. Neighborhood cats often frequent the grounds. Our favorite one is named Silly (White Siamese). He loves canned food (not so much dry kibble which I think is the normal food his owner gives him). Please watch out for the cats when driving in/out. Please note this is not a tourist spot. I highly recommend Google maps to familiarize yourself with the area (14th Ave and 22nd Street in Oakland). We try to be very forthright about the location so please be kind when writing review of less than five stars based on location. Other safety precautions: - Always lock doors - Don’t leave valuables in your car - Watch out for uneven pavement - Street cleaning on Tuesday and Friday - Up and coming Oakland. Not a busy tourist spot. Mainly families in this neighborhood.
