Doris our shepherd's hut is nestled in our paddock and meadow on the Somerset levels and has lovely views over neighbouring fields. It is close but not too close to our other hut Daphne and our annexe room Huberts. We are keen to encourage flora and fauna and manage the paddock accordingly. We are situated on the outskirts of a small village and the edge of the Somerset levels. We are ideally situated for sightseeing around Somerset. Daphne our other hut is also in the paddock. The space Our property is grade II listed, a former farmhouse built in the 1600's with plenty of character. I'm a keen gardener and am happy for guests to wander around the gardens if they wish. The en suite hut has been designed to include everything you need for a cosy stay, but with an up-to-date feel. It includes a king sized bed with plenty or storage space below, plus a kitchen area, with a hob, a fridge and all the equipment needed for catering. A Heater for chilly days, with a slow oven, can cook casseroles and jacket potatoes. It is an ideal escape for a romantic weekend. Home cooking and fresh local produce is my thing. On arrival you will be welcomed by some baking. A cooked breakfast is an optional extra. I can cater for most dietary requirements if given notice. Guest access There is plenty of parking adjacent to the paddock and access to Doris is via mown paths.
