Unique place in the city of Quimperlé, the Blue Island, a real island in the heart of the historic lower town, offers you a friendly and warm welcome in a cozy apartment recently renovated. The hosts, Nolwenn and Franck, welcome you to their original and atypical artist's house in a haven of greenery and romance in the heart of town between Isole and Ellé. If you are interested, participation in drawing and sculpture courses is possible. The space As soon as you enter the ground floor, you can share the artistic work of the master of the premises and relax in the shared lounge that opens onto the river. If you're feeling generous, you can play your favorite tunes there. As the central element of Franck's workshop, you can discover his engraving press and his productions. As you walk, you will discover the small garden with roses and sculptures, overlooking the channel between Isole and Ellé, and enjoy a barbecue, garden furniture in the shade or in the sun, under the camellias and bamboos. The staircase leading to the 2nd floor, without elevator, where the apartment is located, will guide you, decorated by the artist's hand, in a dance of life, by moving characters who will accompany you throughout your ascent. The 1-room apartment is composed of a separate kitchen, one bedroom and one bathroom, all forming a private space of 25 m² decorated with original drawings and paintings. On one side, you can enjoy the view of the garden and the Isole River from the kitchen, and on the other side of the Ellé River and the Gorrêts Park from the bedroom. Furniture is antique or filled with family history. The bedroom includes a 140 x 190 bed, TNT TV. The kitchen, bright and functional, is equipped with all the comforts for a pleasant stay. The entire house has been renovated with eco-materials in accordance with sustainable development, old buildings and with a view to minimizing impact on the environment. Guest access In addition to the private apartment on the 2nd floor of the house, our guests will have access to the family garden and living room on the ground floor. A piano is available. Other things to note The apartment is eligible for ANCV holiday vouchers. For a one-night reservation, we ask that guests bring bed linens (140 cm bed, duvet and 2 standard-size pillows) and towels. Otherwise, we will ask for an extra 15 euros for the supply of linens and towels. We offer monthly rentals off-season. We offer electric bike rental and breakfast on request, subject to availability. L'Îlot Bleu is in the heart of Quimperloise's commercial, friendly and festive life. Free public parking with electric terminals 50 m away, cafes, restaurants, halls, market, laundromat, tobacco store – newspapers, post office, cinema and all local shops (bakery, butcher, greengrocer, hairdresser, florist, grocery store, decoration, etc.) are within 200 m. The nearest beaches (Pouldu, Moëlan, Guidel) are 15 km away.
