You are most welcome in our cozy half-timbered cottage "Refugium im Gitzental" near Siegburg/Cologne/Bonn. In a 10-minute walk through our village, along meadows with cows, alpacas and sheep, you will immerse yourself in the forest with the Wendbach and Wahnbach streams, which flow into the nearby Wahnbach reservoir. For those who want a retreat from everyday life and the usual to unwind. Various shops & restaurants: by car in 5 - 10 minutes. The space Our "Refugium im Gitzental" is a newly renovated and completely newly furnished half-timbered house from 1885, furnished inside in the bright Nordic country house style with boho accents. ON THE GROUND FLOOR is the cozy kitchen-living room with reading corner and direct terrace access as well as the bathroom with floor-to-ceiling shower, toilet and sink. You have sole access to all rooms, closets, storage room, private garden with beautiful quarry stone terrace incl. grill and fire pit. Other things to note STEEP STAIRCASE Not suitable for people with walking difficulties, as the stairs are really relatively steep. TELEVISION The HD TV only works in conjunction with your smartphone or tablet via Apple TV available in the house or alternatively Chromecast stick. There is no cable or antenna connection, so the device alone cannot receive any channels. If you want to watch the news live or access the ARD/ZDF media library, etc., you can easily do so via free apps. WASHING MACHINE The half-timbered house does not have its own washing machine. If necessary, you are welcome to use our private washing machine by appointment (€ 5/wash cycle).
