This freshly updated apartment is located in the walkout basement of a historic 1930s home just a 4 minute walk from downtown Moscow. It features a full kitchen and open living room, a bathroom, and two private and cozy bedrooms – a great setup for small groups or a family. It also has direct access to a large shared backyard. We'd love to host your next visit! Please do note that since this is a basement apartment you may hear noise from the upstairs neighbors. They are very respectful of nighttime hours and are generally quiet, but you will hear some walking around and normal activity upstairs! For the same reason, outside guests and parties are not allowed, and we ask you to respect the quiet hours. It is also an old house that we have updated and are continuing to update, which means tons of charm and a few quirks. Two interior doors need doorstops to stay open (we provide these). The shower is perfectly fine but is on our short list to upgrade soon. We’re also planning on upgrading the laminate flooring in the near future. We often get questions about AC. Since it’s a walkout basement apartment it stays quite comfortable even on the few hot weeks of the year in northern Idaho. It’s always 10-20 degrees cooler than upstairs! The nights cool down and are lovely in Idaho, so it’s usually very comfortable, especially at night. On hot days we recommend closing windows and curtains during the day and then opening them at night to let in the fresh cool air. We have several box fans available for guest use as well. Please contact me through the app if you need anything! This home is located in a quiet neighborhood within easy walking distance to Moscow's downtown restaurants. The University of Idaho is less than a mile away, and Washington State University in Pullman is an easy 8 mile (15 minute) drive. Please note that you will need to climb down a short flight of outdoor STAIRS to access the entrance to the apartment. PLEASE NOTE: The fireplace is decorative only and may not be used, as it is not functional. The fire pit in the backyard is also only for use by the upstairs renters. Your children are welcome to use the swing set!
