Top of the world view near Yosemite & Gold Country

Beautiful modern home (with free EV charging) on 35 acres of oak forest. Amazing views of Lake Don Pedro and the surrounding oak woodlands. If you’re looking for peace and quiet while still reasonably close to activities such as California’s historic gold country, Lake Don Pedro, and Yosemite National Park, this place is for you. It’s remote and away from civilization, so this may not be for everyone, but if relaxation and peace is what you're after, you won't find a better spot. The space This is a single story home located atop a beautiful hill with beautiful 180+ degree views to the south, west and north. The sunset steals the show every night. This home has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. The master bedroom has a king bed, private entrance to the balcony, steam room/shower, jacuzzi tub, and an electric fireplace. One guest room has a double bed, and the other is more setup for kids, but can work for adults too. There is a double bed/twin bed bunk bed (no adults in upper bunk please) and an additional twin bed. The great room has amazing views, comfortable leather sofa and chairs, and a fireplace. There is fast WiFi and an 85” TV as well, although we don't watch it much because the real show is outside. The kitchen has an induction range, two sinks, dishwasher, a coffee station (Keurig, drip, and french press), and general pantry items such as oil, sugar, seasoning, condiments, etc. There is a laundry room with washer and dryer available for our guests as well. Free electric vehicle charging as well. On the property, we have nature trails that wander with nice views and an opportunity to explore the oak forest and beautiful rock formations. Other things to note This property is remote and requires driving a windy and narrow road, but it's worth the drive. The nearest grocery, restaurant, and gas station is about 30 minutes away. There are several golf courses within 30-40 minutes. Sonora is about 45 minutes away and has all the big modern stores like Walmart, Safeway, Lowe’s, etc. The gate to Yosemite is 41 miles (~60 minutes) away and is a beautiful drive. There are two marinas for Lake Don Pedro within 25-30 minutes. There are a few hiking trails on the property as well, so you can enjoy a nature walk right out the front door. Grab a morning cup of coffee or an afternoon cocktail and go for a walk around the property Note: The property is not level, so wear appropriate shoes and be careful. There is some poison oak in a few places, and we have seen foxes, coyotes, bobcats, and an occasional rattlesnake or bear, none of which want anything to do with you, so they're generally of no concern, but keep your eyes open. Here are a few other items about our property. 1. Level 2 Electric Vehicle charging available (J1772 + Tesla Adapter). 2. High speed WiFi is available 3. Cell phone coverage is marginal, but is generally good enough to make phone calls. We recommend setting up Wifi calling on your phone upon arrival. 4. Kitchen is typically stocked with common items such as cooking oil, sugar, butter, some seasonings, hot sauce, condiments, coffee, etc. Our pantry is open to sharing, so if you need something, feel free to use it, if you have extra and want to leave something behind, that's fine too. 5. There is an outdoor fire pit and firewood to use, but no fires are allowed from mid-May through the end of fire season (usually mid-November) due to the risk of starting a wildfire. There is a gas fire table on the balcony that can be used year round. 6. There are exterior security cameras on the property. Balcony cameras and cameras attached to the house will be turned off upon checking in for your added privacy.
