The area is very safe, quiet, and surrounded by lush forest, offering a true sense of privacy and calm 🌲. 🚗 The casita includes private on-site parking for your convenience. Just steps below the casita, guided night tours are offered every evening at Lantana Reserve🌙🦎—a magical opportunity to experience Monteverde’s incredible wildlife right outside your door. A special place where nature, safety, and comfort come together ✨ Guest access ✨ One day before your check-in, we’ll send you a private message with the lockbox code for the door, so your arrival is easy, smooth, and stress-free 🔑🏡 Other things to note 1. 🌿 We’d like to kindly remind our guests that our home does not have air conditioning or a heater. This is a conscious choice, as many homes in Monteverde are built this way. It’s how I grew up here, and for me, it’s something very special to share this authentic Monteverde experience with those who visit 🌲.We completely understand that air conditioning is important for many people, and we truly respect that. We just want to be transparent that we’re unable to provide it—thank you so much for your understanding 🙏 Monteverde has a much cooler climate than most of Costa Rica and often feels like a completely different world 🌫️✨. That said, during certain times of the year it can get warm during the day, so we provide a standing fan 🌬️, and it can also feel quite cool at night during other seasons. 2. 🚙 We highly recommend a 4x4 vehicle. The entrance road is unpaved and a sometimes rocky. Most cars and compact SUVs with good ground clearance can make it up without any issues. However, if you’re arriving in a small two-wheel-drive car, the climb may feel a bit challenging, so please keep this in mind when planning your transportation. 3. 🚿 About the shower: The shower uses an electric shower head, which is common in the area. For the best experience, we recommend turning the water on slowly—start with a gentle flow until the water warms up, then gradually increase the pressure until you reach your desired temperature. Most showers in Monteverde don’t use hot water tanks; instead, the water is heated instantly as it flows through the unit, just before it comes out. 4. 📍 Getting here: The best way to reach our Airbnb is by following the Google Maps link we’ll share with you one day before your check-in.
