Gennett Mansion Guest House

Make memories at this unique guest house connected to local history! Once a carriage house, then a boutique; it is now a cozy 2 BR/1BA guest house that is quite unique. (Legend says it once stored set pieces for the local Civic Theatre!) *Close to the incredible experiences Richmond has to offer! *Within a few miles to 5 colleges/universities *Guests will check in with keyless entry. The space Originally this was the carriage house for the Gennett family (previous owners of Starr Piano Co & founders of Gennett Records) and used to store Rose Gennett’s automobile. In the early 1980's it was classified as part of an Indiana Landmark, The Gennett Mansion. The Gennett Mansion (also known as "Henry & Alice Gennett Home") is also part of the "East Main Street--Glen Miller Park Historic District" through the National Registry of Historic Places. As a carriage house is was utilized to store set pieces for the Richmond Civic Theatre. Then it was renovated into a boutique, a sewing & notions shop, then into an office space. We decided it would make an excellent guest house! Oh if these walls could talk, the stores they could tell! The main floor features the king bedroom, living room, kitchen/dining room, and full bathroom with a custom walk-in shower. The house even features an electric tankless on-demand water heater. Plus a new GE all one washer dryer combo! Upstairs features the loft area with two twin beds and a sofa in the seating area. Behind the loft is the queen bedroom. Guest access Guest will have the entire house to themselves! The parking lot and large backyard are shared with the hosts, as they live in the house next door. Sadie & Darwin their mini dachshunds, do use the backyard occasionally, but will never be left outside unattended. Other things to note Need recommendations?
