Come visit our western retreat! This house has a long history in my family, my grandparents purchased it nearly 40 years ago and raised 5 children here. After my grandfather passed I was blessed with the opportunity to purchase it. I spent 6 years living and remolding this house before moving to the end of the street into another fix-er up-er. The house is most comfortable with 8 guests. Additional guest fee over 8 is an extra $25/guest/nightly. ALL PETS MUST BE PRE-APPROVED! The space As you can see in the pictures the entire upstairs has custom hardwood flooring. Each room has a different species of flooring along with a different hardwood trim. Over half of the furniture in the house was been hand made by myself or friends of the family. The kitchen is fully furnished with all the basic cooking utensils you will need. All of the appliances are full size. The kitchen table is set for 4 but we have had as many as 8 people gather around it for family dinner. The living room is fitted with a huge leather couch, 2 recliners, and one hand made horseshoe rocking chair. There are gas logs for your enjoyment in the winter time. Atop the walnut mantel is a 50''Samsung LED tv with a Roku streaming device. Netflix and YouTubeTV are provided free. There are 3 Bedrooms upstairs, all of them are full of unique western style furnishings. The master bedroom has a half bath attached to it. As you walk down the hall you will pass the main bathroom with a shower and bathtub. There is another full size bedroom and bathroom in the basement. The laundry room is just around the corner. 1 set of overflow bunk beds are not pictured which are located by the laundry room. The game room is also located in the basement and has a pool table, dart board, and a 50'' plasma tv, and arcade for your enjoyment. Outside you will see that the lake is only about 50 steps away. There are even concrete steps all the way into the water. The shoreline is perfect for swimming or just hanging out. The lake bottom is a rock/mud combination. The boat traffic is a safe distance away leaving you several hundred yards of calm area to swim in. We are located on the main channel and not allowed a dock permit. I live at the end of the street and have a covered dock on the bay-side that you are welcome to use. My covered dock is about 500' away, you can walk or drive down and park in my driveway. FAQS: No more than 2 pets are allowed. There is a $100 fee for each pet. NO MORE THAN 25LBS EACH.  There is room for 2-3 cars in the driveway. There is plenty of room for over flow parking, just let me know and I’ll show you where it is.  Free wifi is provided  ALL your linens are provided. I always recommend bringing your pillow for your comfort.  The kitchen has basic pots and pans and utensils for your general cooking needs.  There is a full size fridge and freezer in the kitchen.  The neighborhood is located on a dead end street and is usually very quiet.  Our neighbors’ kids play in the street so please drive with caution.  The grill is propane and the propane is provided. Bring a lighter as ours tend to walk off.  The outdoor grill is not cleaned by the cleaning staff, please clean up after yourself. Also, please excuse the last guest for not listening to the first part of this statement.  The steps on the deck will lead you all the way to the shoreline.  The water is gently sloping and you can swim from the shore.  The bottom of the lake is rocky and semi-muddy. I recommend wearing lake shoes.  Yes, you can fish from the shoreline. KY fish and game laws apply, licenses are available online.  You can use my covered dock at the end of the street. Everyone is welcome to come to the end of the street and use my lot on the point. I do ask that you respect our privacy. • We have 6 rental boats and 4 jet skis available for rent. They all come with 1 tank of fuel. They are located at the end of the street you are staying at. Message me for more information about booking a boat or ski. • No penalty for boat rain outs. If you reserve we do ask that you plan on using the boat or it will be deducted from your deposit. No half day rentals.  I always recommend you bring your food with you. Our grocery stores are no comparison to the stores most are used to in the city. I am (almost) always available by phone or email. Our cell service isn’t always the best so please leave a voicemail if I do not answer. All holidays require a 4 night minimum stay. We also have 4 kayaks available.($25/daily/each) Book with confidence. We are registered with the Cadiz Tourism office as "H & H Lake Rental LLC" CHECK IN IS 4:00 PM CST (early check-in available for a small fee) CHECK OUT IS 11:00AM CST Other things to note August 29, 2024 all new ~2025~ reservations: Pontoon rental included in nightly price Monday-Thursday only. ~Excludes holidays. Weekend and holiday rental available for additional cost. ~No night use, none, 0, no exceptions~. May-Oct 2025only. Must be 21 to operate. Safety instructions and waiver must given before operation. The boat will be kept at our docks on the bayside of the street. You can easily walk or drive to the dock. It will start with a full tank of fuel and need to be full when it is returned or we can fill it for you for $100. It's a 10 passenger boat. Basic, adult, orange, life jackets will be provided. Please bring children's life jackets. No need to reserve in advance unless you want it during a time it's not included. No need to ask if the boat is really included, if it falls into this description, it's included. $300 deposit will be held at the time of the boat use. No cash value. Mother nature doesn't listen to me, if there is a lake wind advisory the boat will not go out. If there is a bad storm coming the boat will not go out, safety is my insurances priority. Pontoon is equipt with a 60hp 4 stroke engine.
