Noise needs to be maintained at a minimum to respect our fellow neighbors. For your safety and that of the neighborhood, this property strictly prohibits events, parties, or other gatherings. Here are some recommendations: Cenotes. These are truly majestic water holes dating back to the mayan era. There are several nearby which are an awesome day activity. Pyramids. Mayan ruins are probable some of the most fantastic things you’ll see nearby. This is normally a day trip so plan ahead. Experiences - Whether you’re looking for yoga, biking, or other fun activities we welcome you to look at the experiences page on AirBnB or TripAdvisor. FOOD. If you like to eat, Tulum is the right place for you. Here are some solid recommendations if you’re new in town. Rosa Negra - Fine Dining - $$$ - 12 minute away from our location. Taco Honorio - Street Tacos - $ - 10 minutes away from our location. El Camello - Local Ceviches and Seafood - $ - 10 minutes away from our location. NIGHTLIFE. Tulum is bountiful in nightlife. From jungle night parties, to bars, to nightclubs. Here are some recommendations: Casa Jaguar - Night Bar - $$ - 10 minutes from our location. Papaya Project - Hotel/Bar - $$ - 15 minutes from our location. Nomade Beach Club - Beach Club - $$$ - 15 minutes from our location. GETTING AROUND. There is no ride sharing applications in Tulum like Uber or Lyft. Your best bet is to move in a local taxi, bike, or walk. Advice - ***Please always ask how much the ride is before you get into the taxi*** SAFETY. Safety is our top concern for all of our guests. Please stow away all valuables and do not leave them in your car in plain view anywhere in Tulum. Overall, it’s a very safe and fun town but as it is very touristy there are some bad apples. We are not responsible for any valuables left behind or stolen, including but not limited to jewelry, electronics, and other valuables. UTILITIES. Please note that Tulum is literally in the middle of the jungle. This means that electrical outages are common throughout Tulum. Normally these last for about an hour or so, but can be lengthier. When the electrical power goes out, usually water and wifi capabilities go with it temporarily. By booking with us you agree not to hold us responsible for power outages or outages by third party service providers. Other things to note House Rules 1. Reservations may require further guest verification to prevent credit card fraud and damages to the property. 2. Check-in is at 3 pm. Checkout is at 11 am. Early check-in or late checkout may be available upon request. Guests who stay beyond their designated checkout time or delay our housekeeping staff are liable for any associated costs and expenses. 3. Guests are not allowed to make a reservation in their city of residence. Please contact us if you're booking within your city. 4. Smoking, parties, and excessive noise are not allowed, including on balconies and in shared spaces. Smoking violations are subject to a $250 fine plus the cost to clean, deodorize, and repair damages. 5. Commercial photography/videography without written consent, Illegal activity, and prostitution is strictly prohibited. 6. Overnight guests that exceed the number stated in the reservation are not allowed. 7. Pets are not allowed. Violation of our pet policy may result in a fine. We encourage guests with service animals to contact us before their stay. 8. Guests are responsible for covering the cost to replace lost keys ($150). 9. Bongo Stays properties may use video surveillance in public areas. Noise detecting technology may be used inside the suite to monitor excessive noise levels. These devices do NOT record or monitor conversations, but rather decibel levels. 10. Guests take full responsibility for damages, injury, or loss that occur on the premises and its facilities. Guests must report any property damage to customer service. Unreported damages will be deducted from the security deposit. 11. Booking a reservation constitutes an agreement to comply with the House Rules. Guests who violate these rules are liable for any associated damages, fees, costs, or expenses.
