Other things to note During the Middle Ages the Borgo neighborhood was sparsely populated, with scattered houses, some churches and many vegetable gardens. There were also several brick kilns, which used the abundant clay extracted from the quarries on the Vatican and Gianicolense hills (which give the street its name). An integral part of the village was a small river port, the Porto Leonino, used to transport the travertine blocks necessary for the construction of the new San Pietro... nowadays the area is densely populated with people and commercial activities. Our apartment is located right in front of the underpass that connects Borgo to the colonnade of San Pietro. The network of Bus and Metro lines perfectly connects the entire city and beyond. Walking along the underpass from Via delle Fornaci you can reach Piazza S. Pietro in 5 minutes. Near the apartment on Via delle Fornaci there is the stop for Bus Line 64 which takes you to Piazza Navona in 10/15 minutes, Piazza Venezia in 15/20 minutes and Rome Termini Central Railway Station in 30 minutes. A 5-minute walk away is the S. Pietro railway station where metropolitan trains pass every 20 minutes leading to the structure. Registration Details IT058091B4YKT8OC3O
