Welcome y'all! Our home, which was built in 1925, is located in the historical area of Mitchells downtown. Next too the Worlds Only Corn Palace, Antique Mall, Escape Rooms, Coffee shop, Cupcake shop, movie theater and so much more! Includes off street parking for 2 vehicles. We love attending an event at the Corn Palace and not having to find a parking spot. We can just walk! July-Sept Wed Farmers Market 4:30-7pm 8/26-30 Corn Palace Festival 1st Friday - Corn Palace has free live music & more! Your stay has an amazing view of the World's Only Corn Palace! In the evening you can view the light up domes and enjoy its walk out balcony. Walking distance to all the events at the Corn Palace and downtown main street. If you enjoy a little bit of history, antiques, & modern touch you’ll find our home enjoyable. You will have 5 wide steps going into the house. Everything is on main floor. We have hosted people with allergies & chemical sensitivity. We do not use air fresheners, added scents or harsh chemicals for this purpose in our home. On Wednesday’s we are utilizing a private office in the home from 9-5 . We ask that check in be closer to 5 pm on Wednesday’s. We will make it work if you need to check in earlier. 5 people will be very tight but do able. 1 bed, 1 sofa sleeper, 1 small couch. Living room and Bedroom are large, spacious if you have your own portable sleeper. Kitchen is compact but fully equipped. The drive way is on the Northside of the home. The other side is a public access road so please make sure your parked in the drive way or in front of the house street parking. No yard No grass on premises Couch is a sofa sleeper - full size bed Only 1 large bedroom with queen bed Please note that this is a historical home and they did not have bathrooms with large showers or running water in the home. This home was used as the Palace Credit Union for most of its life and later a chiropractors office, tax office and weighloss office. . We had to use one of the bedrooms to add a single stall shower 34” and washer and dryer . We call this the shower room. This is the only room that has a closet. Sink and toilet are in another original small room for when they added the first plumbing. Back in the day ....some were just blessed to have running water in the home to clean up with.
