Danish Riviera & true ‘hygge’ cottage experience

Our cozy cottage offers a true 'hygge' experience as the Danes know it. Here you have nature at your doorstep! Go on day trips to the nearby forests, beaches, or cozy little towns. Hop on a boat and explore the local lake. Or if you feel lazy, just relax in the garden with a cold drink, while the kids get busy at their own little play house. The space THE LOCATION: Our cozy cottage is situated on the popular Danish Riviera close to Liseleje, North from Copenhagen. It is easily reachable from Copenhagen by both train (1,5 h) and car (50 min). The cottage is located in a nature area surrounded by fields, forests, animal farms, lakes, and the most spectacular sandy beaches of Denmark. The Danish Riviera is a popular place with Danes due to its laid back vacation vibe, many places to explore, and cute little local cafes and shops. Liseleje itself can offer a bit of everything and a relaxing day at the beach. From here, you can drive or bike for a day trip to the popular beach towns of Hundested, Tisvilde, Gilleleje, and Hornbæk. The kitchen has all the amenities you might need if you love cooking (microwave, dishwasher, hot water kettle, coffee maker, fridge, oven and stove, bread maker, blender). There are also fresh herbs in the garden. The living room has a wood burning fireplace to enjoy the cold evenings. And in the summer, there is an AC unit to keep you cool. There is a smart TV, Wi-Fi, and of course some good old board games and puzzles, if you want to switch off. The corridor takes you to two bedrooms. In bedroom nr. 1, there is a double bed and a view to the big cherry tree in the backyard. Bedroom nr. 2 has a bunk bed. There is also a protective railing for toddlers if required and also a travel baby cot. The modern bathroom offers floor heating. There is also a washer and a drier. Outside in the garden, we have lots of games for the entire family as well as a gas barbeque to enjoy some delicious food. If you fancy an evening outside, there is a firepit in one of the garden corners. We have several relaxing areas incl. a sunbed and a hammock. There is lots to explore nearby (walking distance) incl. a kids playground, fresh eggs and an animal farm. The nearest supermarket is just 5 min away by car or 20 min by bike. Other things to note IMPORTANT: * The cottage has a no shoes inside policy - please respect this! * NO PETS allowed - highly allergic! * As it is the custom in Denmark for cottages, bed linens and towels are not provided and guests are asked to bring them themselves.
