Distance to local attractions: Carrboro: 4.5 miles (7 mins) Franklin Street: 5.5 miles (10 mins) UNC Dean Smith Center: 7 miles (10 mins) Duke: 16.7 miles (22 mins) Downtown Durham: 21.3 miles (28 mins) RDU Airport: 22.8 miles (27 mins) Guest access The guest have a driveway extending from the property owner's driveway and their own space to hangout and relax. The airstream is in a private area on the property. The dock is behind my families' house and is shared. Other things to note PETS: • Pet fee is $50 for a maximum of (2) pets • We allow a maximum of two (2) pets not weighing more than 50 lbs. • Pets are not allowed on the furniture. • Pets must be supervised at all times. • Pets must be declared upon reservation Kayak, paddle-board, fish, and swim at your own risk and discretion. There are life jackets next to the kayak / paddle-boards. While this is very much "glamping", it is still camping to a degree. While you have running water and electricity it still feels more like camping than being in a house. There is heating and AC and the following should be noted: There is two over-head units (one in the bedroom and living area) and a space heater. The living area over-head unit and microwave are on an inverter (meaning only one can be on at a time). The living room over-head does not provide heat (but the space heater does). If it is very cold (below freezing at night) it can certainly get chilly in the airstream before it heats up during the day. Both the over-head units can be used to keep the airstream cool in the summer. The airstream itself is also parked in the shade and does not get too much direct sun exposure. Both of the over-head units provide AC The airstream has its' own driveway and yard and the lake has a couple houses on it including my families' house that is a few hundred feet away. My Dad is a co-host and can help make sure you have a great experience at the pond. The dock is behind my families' house. There are three other docks on the lake. The one guests have access to is the one that belongs to my family (on the right when looking at the lake). The dock is behind my families' house and is shared. It is not often that my family uses it but sometimes my dad will go for a swim or my mom will have some wine with friends. We are friendly and are happy to give you information about the area but also respect your privacy Use of the pond is at your own risk and liability. By booking you and all of your guests hold harmless the hosts and residents of the pond. There is no life-guard on duty. Children are not allowed to swim unattended. Fishing is catch and release Absolutely no illegal drugs, narcotics, or firearms/weapons are allowed on the property or in the airstream. You will have complete privacy while in the airstream as it is surrounded by trees and has a separate driveway branch. We will need to pump the tank once ever 1-2 days. It only takes a few minutes -- we will give you a heads up!
