Relax in this quiet little cycladic house with panoramic views of Pounda, Antiparos and the waterfront that separates them. The charm of an old farmhouse with all the comforts of today. In front of the house, to fully enjoy the view, a lovely patio to eat there or enjoy a glass of Ouzo. At the back of the house, garden with olive trees, eucalyptus and a chicken coop for fresh eggs. The space The house is located in a property of 4000 m2 located below the monastery of Saint Arsenios and the church Profitis Elias. Surrounded by green hills, this valley is protected by "Natura 2000", a site listed as a natural area of the European Union. This small 50 m2 cycladic house offers a splendid setting by its antique furnishings and its decorated patio with water point. You will be welcomed by our friend Maria who lives on the island all year round. Together with her husband Sakis, they run a clothing store in Parikia and live in a tiny house in the back of the property. Whenever possible, they can pick you up (at the port or airport) before introducing you to your home and making sure you don't miss anything, throughout your stay. On the day of departure, after the "check out", she can take you back to the port or airport. Access to the property via a private road to the shaded parking lot. Below, a garden offers panoramic views of Antiparos and the sea with extraordinary sunsets. Through a small wooden door, immediately from the parking lot, you will access the patio with the same view and equipped with a table for meals. An electric BBQ is available and can be installed upon request. As soon as you enter the house, you will certainly be seduced by the care given to the decoration and the antique rooms that compose it. You will access directly into the living room with a living area (sofa bed), an office area and a fully equipped kitchen area with oven, microwave oven, refrigerator, filter coffee maker, toaster, ... A table also allows you to take your meals. An electric boiler provides hot water and is located in a small attached storage space. Next door gives access to the bathroom, with a spacious shower, sink and washing machine. A wide opening gives access, from the living room, to the bedroom offering a double bed, a fireplace, a flat screen TV and a large wardrobe/wardrobe. At the back of the house, a garden welcomes a pond with fish and waterfall, a vegetable garden and a circle of stones (former wheat beater) . You can even pick up the fresh eggs from the chicken coop next to the pool. In 15 minutes walk you can visit the Butterfly Valley or the Monastery of Saint Arsenios and Profitis Elias Church. Other walks possible. It will be worth a vehicle, as there is no public transport nearby. Parikia and its port is within a 15-minute drive (7km). The beautiful beach of Parosporos is 4 km and Pounda, and its beaches popular with kitesurfers, 5 km. From there, you can take the ferry to get to the island of Antiparos. Finally, the charming fishing village of Aliki is 9 km away, just past the airport (6 km), and Naoussa 15 km away. Of course you can park your vehicle on the shaded parling, 10 meters from the entrance of your house. Guest access The garden at the back of the house is accessible, like the parking lot, to the residents of the other two houses that are on the property. Other things to note We will gladly give you the contact details of rental cars, motorcycles, scooters, quads or electric bikes, if you ask us. Same for transportation, from or to the port or airport, if you provide us with the references of your flight or ferry (place of departure, times, carrier name, etc.).
