We're centrally located between the Historic National Buffalo River, Eureka Springs, & Branson MO. The space If you are a solo traveler, nature lover, and the adventurous type or you are traveling with your romantic partner, perfect because we are located on 10 privately owned rural acres. And we are only 28 miles/35 minutes from the National Buffalo River. Located just off of Scenic 7 Byway, a beautiful mountainous drive, we call our place Prominence Homestead. We are just a short distance (13 miles) from Harrison and 10 miles from Bull Shoals Lake where the Scenic 7 Byway ends. Delightfully quaint, the Mediterranean Rooftop Suite apartment (where you will stay) occupies the entire second floor of our home and has its own outside entrance with keypad. Your host the homeowners, Dean and Angela occupy the first floor. Showcasing a spacious entire upstairs (800 square feet) luxury apartment, this space was designed with the Mediterranean in mind. It is not your typical vacation rental. Its unique architecture sets it apart from other listings. So much so that the experience offers a nourishing retreat for you both physically and emotionally. Guests can star gaze on their very own second story, large and private Rooftop Garden. There are several other patios and decks. You'll have access to all of them, a "360° view. They are not as big as the rooftop garden, but are pleasant to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee, tea, or an adult beverage, watch the wildlife, neighboring cows, our chickens, feral cats, ground hogs and their babies, hummingbirds, and butterflies! During the summer months they are filled with fragrant, gorgeous flowers. Having once lived in Europe, Dean and I had the opportunity to visit many different countries. We brought our ideas together. I'm the romantic and the adventurous type, Dean is the carpenter. We built a beautiful, romantic, Rustic-Chic home. The amber plastered interior walls (rich like luscious honey) have the look of a romantic Italian, Greek, or Pueblo Villa. There is a workspace off to the side in the Villa apartment that has a desk with chair, excellent WiFi reception, and 100+ self-help, wellness, gardening, spiritual, and relationship books to read during your stay. The exterior of the house is a stucco application and it is light olive green; a Mediterranean feel was most certainly our intentions! The Mediterranean Rooftop Suite's private terrace is huge: Seats 4-8 people, has a sunshade as it sits to the south, faces a country organic vegetable garden and thornless blackberries. It also faces the stocked (blue gill) pond. There are two outdoor tree swings in the front yard under the canopy of 2 large oak trees. You'll also enjoy a Blackstone griddle (propane provided) and fire-pit (firewood provided). We are an adults only vacation rental due to the unique architecture of our Mediterranean home. Come and see us folk! Your Rooftop Sanctuary awaits. Guest access You can build a fire in the fire-pit down at the pond or in the Kiva located in the courtyard. You are welcome to roam the property but stay in the mowed areas of course. Watch out for the electric fences around our chickens and the wildlife on the property. Because it is a two story Villa, there are stairs both inside and outside leading to the Mediterranean Rooftop Suite apartment. The guests will use the outside stairs to come and go. Your romantic sanctuary awaits! Other things to note When you stay with us you will find that we live 6 tenths of a mile down a gravel road. Our graveled drive is through a pasture and at times gets muddy when it rains and snows. Oh! and the road may be covered in water once in a while. Not much water, but enough to make you pause. But that just adds to the adventure! There are no neighbors in front of us, just cows and bales of hay but there are some neighbors behind us. Fortunately, we are nearly in the middle of 10 privately owned acres, so it does give you privacy. You may hear a coyote, bobcat, and barking dogs on occasion. Also, bullfrogs, cats fighting, baby chicks chirping, chickens clucking, roosters crowing, horses neighing, a donkey bellowing, and cows mooing. And we can't forget the hummingbirds and the whippoorwills. It's wonderfully country here! Once or twice a year, there may be a smell from the farmers putting fertilizer on their fields for hay to feed their cattle. It's rural America.
