A country Villa estate where rustic meets chic, here's a destination that offers old-fashioned hospitality for the romantics and adventurous at heart. Nestled deep in the Ozarks, your stay holds many treasures in this lovely custom built Mediterranean Villa. Guests are saying that The Rooftop Garden Luxury Suite reminds them of southern Europe. If you're eager to discover even more pleasures, we're centrally located between the Historic National Buffalo River, Eureka Springs, and Branson MO. If you are a nature lover and from out of town, perfect because we are located on 10 privately owned acres. Delightfully quaint, The Rooftop Garden Villa Suite (where you will stay) occupies the entire second floor of our home and has its own private outside entrance. We call our Villa, Prominence Homestead of the Ozarks-(P.H.O.T.O). Your hosts, the homeowners, (Dean and Angela) occupy the first floor. Showcasing a spacious entire upstairs (800 square feet) Villa Suite apartment, guests can star gaze on their very own large and private Rooftop Garden. This space was designed with Romance in mind. There are several other patios and decks. You'll have access to all of them, a "360° view". During the summer months they are filled with fragrant, gorgeous flowers. You'll also enjoy a Blackstone griddle (propane provided) and fire-pit (firewood provided). Having once lived in Europe, Dean and I had the opportunity to visit many different countries. We brought our ideas together as a couple and built a Rustic-Chic Mediterranean home. The amber plastered interior walls (rich like luscious honey) have the look of a romantic Italian villa (think Tuscany). The exterior of the house is a stucco application and it is light olive green; a Mediterranean feel was most certainly our intentions! The Rooftop Garden Villa Suite's interior has a Tuscan Villa color palette. It also includes these following amenities and much much more: Outside entrance with Keypad Two queen size beds/ pillow top mattresses Dresser, electric fireplace for ambiance Loveseat and matching chair 50-inch Smart TV for you to stream your favorite channels Kitchenette with stocked coffee bar Microwave Mini refrigerator Convection oven Electric skillet Toaster Full bath with an antique claw tub Large walk-in shower There is a workspace off to the side in the Villa Suite that has a desk with chair and 100+ books to read during your stay. The Rooftop Garden's private terrace is huge: Seats 4-8 people Sunshade as it sits to the south. Faces a country organic vegetable and flower garden Faces the pond Faces the fire-pit with solar lights lit up at night There are two other private balconies; they are not as big, but pleasant to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee, tea, or an adult beverage while you watch the wildlife, neighboring cows, chickens, dogs, feral cats, hummingbirds, and butterflies! Located just off of Scenic 7 Byway, a beautiful mountainous drive, The Rooftop Garden Villa Suite is just a short distance from Harrison and Bull Shoals Lake where the Scenic 7 Byway ends. If you have a boat, bring it, take it for a spin on the lake. There is plenty of room for you to park it on the property. You can build a fire in the fire-pit down at the pond or the Kiva located in the courtyard. You are welcome to roam the property, but stay in the mowed areas of course...and watch out for the wildlife. As a side note and to add to your experience while you are here: While you are here enjoying endless adventures in the Ozarks, you might want to explore how having a homestead can be a lifeline for a more "peaceful and quiet" life. We've found this to be true for us. Dean and I grow various flowers, grow a garden, raise a small amount of chickens for eggs and meat. Preserve food using various methods, i.e canning, freeze-drying, dehydrating, etc., and make home-made soap. We have Elephant garlic running out our ears! If growing a garden or this lifestyle is something you're interested in, give us a holler while you're here, or better yet, when you book your reservation, let's set up a time to meet so we can show you around. We'd love to collaborate. Regardless, you're going to love the enchanting Rooftop Garden Villa Suite! It is "peaceful and relaxing". However, because there are so many things to do in the area, the Historic National Buffalo River, Bull Shoals Lake, Branson Missouri, and Eureka Springs you might just have to venture out. Come and see; these places are breathtaking and fun to explore! Angela will generally meet you when you arrive, but after that, will only see you if you are out on one of the balconies or on a tour of the property. Because it is a two story Villa, there are stairs both inside and outside leading to The Rooftop Garden Luxury Suite apartment. The guests will use the outside stairs to come and go and not the inside stairs. You are going to love the "spacious, cozy, beautifully designed, custom built" Villa Suite and the solitude of the private Rooftop Garden terrace. This property has been taken up a notch and is a real jewel with all that has it has offer. Come stay with us and see! Your treasure awaits! We are about 6 tenths of a mile down a gravel road. There are not a lot of people around but there is a small subdivision behind us. Occasionally you can hear highway noise, a train in the distance, or a barking dog. Very nice and quiet most of the time. There is a Dollar Store and a couple of gas stations/convenience stores and a Subway 3 miles away. The city of Harrison is only 12 miles away from our homestead and it has many grocery stores and places to eat. There are also many thrift stores, which is my favorite place to browse around in. However, if you need more action, the Ozarks is full of things to do! Bull Shoals Lake is 11 miles away, and Diamond City is a small resort town about 16 miles away. During the summer you can swim, fish, or take your boat out. In the opposite direction, about 30 miles away from our house is the Buffalo National River. There are places to rent kayaks, fish, and picnic. And we cannot forget Branson Missouri. It is not far either. It is less than an hour's drive and there are a lot of shows and adventurous things to do there as well. Eureka Springs is about a 75 minute drive; perfect for a day drive! So, when you come to The Rooftop Garden Villa Suite at Prominence Homestead of the Ozarks (PHOTO), you can stay on the property and enjoy the quiet life of the homestead or venture out during the day to these surrounding areas. Come back here at night and start up the Blackstone griddle then go down to the pond and build a fire in the fire-pit. After that retire back to the Rooftop Garden, turn on all the balcony lights, and enjoy the fresh country air before bedtime. You might even see a doe and her fawns. Guests have said that view is indescribable. Enjoy The Rooftop Garden while observing the stars at night. It is breathtaking! Come and see! Located in the country on Scenic 7 North, 12 miles from Harrison, we are in rural Boone county. However, it is all highway until you have to turn off onto our gravel road. Only 6 tenths of a mile (.06) down our gravel road, we are the only light olive green, 2 story Mediterranean (stucco) Villa in the area. You have plenty of places to park, but we have one designated parking space up close to the house just for our guests. Not in the garage, but in front of the garage close to the breezeway/wooden gate where you will enter. If you have a boat, you can park it too. You are welcome to roam around on the 10 acres but take in consideration we are a small homestead and there are electric fences around the 30 plus chickens. The jewel of the property is The Rooftop Garden terrace and its Villa Suite. It is so beautiful with all the flowers on it; it smells lovely during the summer. When you stay with us you will find that we live 6 tenths of a mile down a gravel road. Our drive is through a pasture and at times gets muddy when it rains and snows. With our guests in mind, we will do our best to keep the mud puddles filled. Oh! and the road may be covered in water once in a while. Not much water, but enough to make you pause. But that just adds to the adventure! There are no neighbors in front of us, just cows and bales of hay but there are some neighbors behind us. Fortunately, we are nearly in the middle of 10 privately owned acres, so it does give us some privacy. When you stay with us you may hear an RV pull in or out of the driveway as we do have a place for "one" RV guests to park their RV and use our electric, water, and separate septic for black water. You may hear a coyote, bobcat, and barking dogs on occasion. Also, bullfrogs, cats fighting, baby chicks chirping, chickens clucking, roosters crowing, horses neighing, a donkey bellowing, and cows mooing. And we can't forget the hummingbirds and the whippoorwills. It's wonderfully hillbilly country here! Once or twice a year, there may be a smell from the farmers putting fertilizer on their fields for hay to feed their cattle. It's rural America.
