Enjoy our fully renovated holiday appartment in Schloss Gröbitz during the summer months. Experience the historic building, enjoy the region's culture, visit cities like Leipzig, Weimar and Dresden or unwind in the quiet shady garden with pool. Also ideal for a holiday with children! Schloss Gröbitz has four holiday appartments. Each appartment has its own unique layout and is very fully and tastefully furnished with a mix of modern and classic elements. The space The apartment is located on the second floor of the Schloss. You reach it through the beautiful vaulted reception hall on the first floor, the unique spiral staircase in the tower and the stately hall on the second floor. You enter the apartment through the living room. What immediately stands out is the decorated stucco ceiling on from 1721 and the large original double doors. The two high windows that lie in an alcove overlook the garden and heated pool. From the living room you go left to the master bedroom, and right, through a hallway, to the second small bedroom and the bathroom. All rooms are fully and tastefully furnished. The entire Schloss, and therefore this apartment, has been renovated in recent years. In the summer of 2022 will be rented for the first time, so everything is like new! When renovating, we kept as many original details as possible and worked with traditional, building organic lime and chalk products. This means that each room has its own unique character. The apartment is suitable for 4 persons, if necessary an extra bed or crib can be added. The apartment is rented including towels, bed linen, kitchen textiles, Wifi, energy, etc.. If necessary, a washing machine or other facilities can be used. Because the entire renovation will only be finished in June 2022, we are still busy with the last details of the interior finishing. The interior of the apartment may therefore differ from what you see in the pictures. Guest access The apartment does not have its own garden, but you are free to use the shared garden and pool. Garden chairs and a barbecue are available. Also the hall and the dining room on the first floor can be used freely. Furthermore, in front of the Schloss there is a municipal playground, which children can use. Other things to note The first version of 'Schloss Gröbitz', or rather the Herrenhaus des Ritterguts, or Gutshaus, dates back to 1512. Of this you can see the stair tower and some walls and vaults on the ground floor. In 1721, the building was largely rebuilt in Baroque style and given its current form. After World War II, the Gutshaus was nationalised and served numerous functions for the community. In 2012, the property, which had been empty for five years at the time, came our way and we bought it with the aim of turning it into a nice place for holidays. The reconstruction and renovation took a long time. We did most of the work ourselves and of course we had to deal with permits and regulations. But now the property is largely finished and we are proud of the result, which we would like to share with our guests!
