The space Description of the cabin: 1st floor contains: - Stove and kitchen - Large bathroom with shower - Bedroom 1 with 180 cm bed - Bedroom 2 with 160 cm bed - Laundry room with toilet and exit 2nd floor contains: - Attic living room - Bedroom 3 with 90 cm bed + 160 cm bed - Bedroom 4 with 160 cm bed (through a hatch door) - One private bedroom that is locked Location There are swimming and fishing opportunities on the quay below the cabin. There are also many great hiking opportunities nearby. Among other things, a top trip to Trollvasnippen, Tittelsnes Fort, Eivindsmarka, Leirvåg, Rex Garden and Ryvarden. (More explanation about the hiking destinations further down in the ad) Shops: 15 mins. drive to the Heiane shopping center on Stord. 20 min drive to Sveio city center 40 mins. drive to Haugesund - Bed linen is included in the rent. NOTE!! There is no possibility to charge an electric car here, fast charger at Heiane, 15 min away. Other things to note A little about excursions that are worth seeing in the surrounding area: - Tittelsnes Fort (about 10 min drive from the cabin), is a very exciting place for young and old. The Germans came to Tittelsnes only a few days after the invasion of Norway in 1940. In total, twelve barracks and an extensive system of bunkers and trenches were built. Six of the buildings, mostly trenches and bunkers, have been preserved. So this is a place I strongly recommend to visit. - Rex Garden (about 20 min drive from the cabin) A nature park with 1000 Rhododendrons and other plants. Many beautiful wooden sculptures made with chainsaw. There is a toilet, benches & tables, playground, barbecue facilities and a great beach. Gravel road all the way, so it is fine with a pram. - Holsvika, (about 12 min drive from the cabin) Nice beach, with a small hiking area around. - Ryvarden, (about 40 mins. drive from the cabin) A great trip to Ryvarden lighthouse. There you will find among other things Flokehyttene, the Memorial from the Sleipner accident (1999), cafe and art exhibition. Definitely something to see. (The first lighthouse on Ryvarden is said to have been built in 869 by Floke Vilgerdsson and is probably the oldest known lighthouse on the Norwegian coast.) There is a gravel road all the way out, so it is fine with a pram. -Trollvasnippen 432moh, the highest peak in Sveio. At the top there are great views of all the islands in Sunnhordland, Siggjo on Bømlo, Stovegolvet on Stord, Kvinnherad mountains and the bridges in the triangular connection. - Bondhusvatnet (2.5 hours by car and ferry) in Kvinnherad municipality is a beautiful destination and the trip to the glacier lake is among the most popular hikes in the Hardanger region. The hike is easy and short.
