Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. Enjoy a fire by the river. There are maintained trails around our 20 acres that you can enjoy. Keep an eye out for all the animals that live around specially the eagles. Take a canoe ride to the Hiawatha island and hike to see the ruins of the old hotel. Our children and dog love to swim in the river, so if you have little ones this is the perfect spot! My 3 and 2 year olds love to swim off the rocky beach. This site has a compose toilet. An outside cold camp shower. This camp site is off grid, so no Wi-Fi or electricity. If you would like to use wifi we have at the house, so you will have to walk up to the house to get the Wi-Fi. My phone has very little service by the river… you will have to bring your camping gear; however if you do t have something just ask and we can probably provide as we have a lot of camping gear. We provide a place for fire, grill (not gas), and compose toilet, and shower. We will have a table with essentials like salt, pepper, oil, pots, a manual way to make coffee, coffee, sugar, lighter, firewood, glasses, mugs, bowls… the basics. Any questions let me know. We have cornhole and bocce upon request. We will be at the house most of the time, so anything just take a walk to the house or text. We will not be by the river unless you request our help for anything. However you can come up at anytime if you need. Stop by Sweeney’s market on your way to our camping spot, and get some pre marinated spiedies and local Italian bread. Grill by the river and enjoy the beauty of nature. Big Dipper ice cream just down the street for a great treat… very calm neighborhood! Please ensure to bring bug spray if you want to walk around we have ticks around. We have a canoe you can use, but do not provide lifesaving jackets.
