Welcome to your home away from home. Conveniently located 2 miles off 89, this charming old farm house has room for the whole family or your favorite friends. Lounge in the oversized living room with 65” tv, cook a gourmet meal in the fully stocked kitchen, and take a walk to Silloway Maple on our stunning country roads. Make sure to give yourself time in the morning for coffee on the incredible porch. Whether you're looking for a relaxing oasis or an outdoor adventure, you'll find it here. The space It’s a great place to bring the whole family. 45 minutes from Killington and Sugarbush. **For mud season, the road turns to dirt right after our driveway, so you know you can make it here easily.** Location: 1. Two miles of Rt 89 2. 9 mins to Randolph with restaurants, cafes, and shops 3. 30 min to Montpelier, 1 hour to Burlington, 45 min to Woodstock 4. 23 min to our favorite restaurant of all time, Worthy Burger! Things to Do in the Area: 1. Our town of Randolph (9 min away) is a hidden gem with cute shops, cafes, and restaurants. Catch a movie at our adorable one-room movie theater. Real butter on the popcorn! 2. Take a class at White River Art Center 3. Get a maple creemee at Silloway Maple (1 mile away!) 4. Jump on the trail system at the back of our farm for a nice hike, snowshoe, or ski 5. Head to Montpelier for the best thai food at Wilaiwan's, or our favorite sourdough pizza. 6. Take a hike on the VTC back 40 trail just a 4 minute drive from the house. Enter into our kitchen with vaulted ceilings and a massive island. It’s the perfect gathering place for the people you love. Our kitchen is set up for making incredible meals with a Viking gas range, huge island, and full stock of cooking tools. We have coffee (drip, french press, or pour-over. Plus ground and whole-bean) and some basic food items stocked at all times. Living Area- Our living room is huge and features floor to ceiling windows. We have a reading nook area and a giant couch perfect for movie nights on our 65” tv. We also have a desk with a lovely view in case you need to work before you play. If tv isn't your thing, take a step back in time and play some vinyl. Bedrooms- Our four bedrooms all feature memory foam beds with Egyptian cotton linens so you wake up refreshed and ready to explore. Three queen and one full beds. Bathrooms- Our two bathrooms are stocked with towels. One has a bathtub and one a shower. The downstairs bathroom is en-suite to a bedroom so keep in mind you’ll have to walk through the bedroom to get there. Our house is old and lovely. Think some creaky floors upstairs, a rather steep staircase, and uneven floors. To us, it’s all part of the charm that comes with a 170 year old house. Please Note: Due to the nature of our farm and the animals working on it, we are not able to host any animals including service animals. This is to keep our animals (and yours) safe and happy. Thank you for understanding. Guest access **No parties or Events** The house is yours for your stay and you're free to wander about (as long as you don't enter fences or barns.) You'll find grass-fed cattle and Icelandic sheep roaming the fields. Just be sure not to get zapped by the electric fence. In the winter, we need to keep the wood furnace in the basement fed. We'll enter through the bulkhead into the basement a couple of times per day, but you won't even notice us. Nothing beats the coziness of wood heat! Other things to note Our lovely house is 170 years old and comes with some quirks like creaky floorboards upstairs, a steep staircase, and slightly uneven floors on the first level. The upstairs is a few degrees cooler than the downstairs in the winter. The downstairs bathroom is ensuite to the downstairs bathroom so just be aware you have to walk through the bedroom to get to it. We're working on the farm all day so we'll be out and about and driving by the house during the day. The house is about 70 feet from the road, which turns to dirt at our driveway. Traffic is quite low but sometimes during harvest season there is farm equipment driving by throughout the day. You will encounter two friendly dogs during your visit. Their names are Otto and Moss. They absolutely love hanging with the guests so if dogs aren’t your thing, this won’t be an ideal place for you. On the other hand, if dogs are your thing, you'll love it here!
