This picturesque village is home to a cobbled central green, wonderful views, and scenic walks. Entered via the porch, guests are led through to a bright and welcoming sitting room. Flooded with natural light from the bay window, the dining area features an cosy open fire for chillier evenings. To the rear of the property, the spacious and modern kitchen is fully-equipped for preparing meals. Follow the turned staircase to access two tastefully decorated bedrooms; a king-size bedroom with dual aspect windows overlooking the village; and a twin bedroom. These rooms are served by a good size family shower room with rainfall shower. Bursting with character, Brook House is situated at the upper end of the village at the foot of Moor Road, which stretches over the hill into the sought after Dale of Swaledale, home to Gunnerside, and on to the small market town of Reeth, before ending at the bustling market town of Richmond, which is home to a Norman castle, Georgian theatre, and traditional cobbled streets. Watch the world go by over a refreshing drink outside The Crown Inn. Wander down for a bite to eat at one of the other local pubs in the village; or treat yourself to tea and cake in The Bake-well. Additional Information: A starter pack of logs is provided, the village shop stocks logs should you wish to purchase. One well-behaved dog welcome (small additional charge) Children and infants are welcome. However no equipment is provided. Pillows and duvets are synthetic. Guest access Ground Floor: Entrance porch leading to Sitting room/dining room With an open fire, television, two sofas, one armchair and dining table seating four guests. Kitchen With an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, WiFi radio with Bluetooth speaker, microwave and fridge/freezer. Please note there is no washing machine. First Floor: Bedroom one With a 5' king-size bed. Bedroom two With twin 3' single beds. Shower room With a walk-in rainfall shower, wash basin, WC and heated towel rail. Outside: On-street parking is free next to the cottage. There is also a small free car park in the village just along from the cottage.
