Shiplap walls, ceilings, and wood floors remain as original architectural details that have been preserved throughout the home. Our space is both a private getaway and a haven that you would never know about without having the address and directions to find it! Our family and extended family have been blessed with vacations and weekend getaways and we have decided to share this joy with others! This is a 5-star, highly sought, and acclaimed lake home that we opened to guests in 2022! The interior finish work and decor were professionally designed by Style with Wisdom- Jennifer Wisdom. Our home was fully remodeled ceiling to floor, and wall to wall, recently completed with love and great detail, on June 10, 2022. Inside the home, you’ll find a fully updated, and high-end LG kitchen with all the basic cooking supplies, including pots and pans, cooking utensils, and place settings for 6. Indoor and outdoor cups and plates are also provided. There are two indoor living areas at the front and rear of the home with seating and TV’s. Each bedroom and the outdoor covered gathering area, also have a TV. Each one provides paid accounts for Live TV Hulu, Netflix, Disney+, and ESPN+ plus many other ROKU smart TV options. High-speed WIFI is available both inside the house and in the back-covered gathering area. The larger rear inside area has a ceiling-to-floor wall of windows that overlooks the back large covered patio with a gas grill, outdoor fireplace, and TV, plus a covered rear porch deck. BRAND NEW, October 2022, we added a 6-person brand new state-of-the-art, hot tub to the property, near the outdoor pavilion with a beautiful lake view, and at night, star gazing! Blue tooth your favorite music from your phone through the speakers on the tub! Oh, what a night! The hot tub is for adult use only. Outdoor seating is provided on the rear deck of the home and in the separate covered pavilion. The back and front yards are enclosed by a stylish, black wrought iron fence to keep pets and kids within view. There is a gate on the back that allows easy, clean, level, and private usable lake access. Two kayaks are provided with life jackets. Fishing and swimming are both encouraged in our cove. Never swim alone, and be safe. There is no lifeguard on duty at our private lake access beach. This is one of the few sand-covered areas to swim and play in the lake. It’s fairly shallow and easy to walk for a great distance, with an actual rocky point that is just above water level, making a fun to stand and take pics! Fishing is also possible from this too! Feel free to enjoy your time as it’s very secluded, quiet, and meant to have fun! Inside the home, there is a king bed in the front master bedroom, a twin bunk bed plus a twin trundle to pull out, offering three twins in the middle (2nd) bedroom. These both share a fully updated tiled, and modern bathroom with a tub/shower combination. Each room has either a closet and/or clothing storage space. The housekeeping supply closet in the 2nd bedroom is locked, and not for guest access. In the large rear family gathering room, a queen Murphy bed is easy to pull down from the wall cabinet for additional sleeping space. This has a traditional, upscale bed mattress (not a cot or foam pad) and is fully made up, and ready to use. The second fully tiled bathroom offers a glass-enclosed, step-in, oversized shower and vanity. A full-sized laundry room with a washer and dryer includes laundry detergent and dryer sheets during your stay, along with a hot and cold Ozarka Spring water dispenser, which we supply with a 5-gallon jug per visit (with additional ones for longer stays). There are two outdoor decks on the rear and side of the home. The perimeter of the home is fully fenced in with gate access on the front and back yards. The grassy, vacant lot across the street from the front of the home provides an area to throw footballs, set up horseshoes, ultimate frisbee, or play a game of catch. Just bring anything you’d like to use in this area. Parking is also allowed here, or directly in front of the house on the gravel drive. You will have complete access to the two-bedroom, 5-bed home, with the exception of a locked supply closet for housekeeping. Parking in the driveway area in front of the house and across the private drive in our additional empty, large lot is provided. Outdoor-covered pavilion/gazebo/grill kitchen with fireplace, behind the home, 2 kayaks, life jackets, the lake behind the home, and the fenced-in yard are all for guests' use. We have recently completed a 2 bedroom and 1 bath beautiful bunkhouse on the adjoining lot to the right, Cabin on the Cove, which is also offered for small groups to enjoy both our spaces as of the end of May 2023! We are here to assist in all ways that our guests desire or request! We do not live on the property but are a short distance away if something needs attention. The best method of communication is by using and checking the Airbnb messenger app. We have 4 cohosts that monitor this and can react much more quickly. We also enjoy being Airbnb guests and understand you are visiting for private time with family and friends. We ultimately respect this, and are a message or text away for needs! The neighborhood is a mix of old and new. Many generations have lived in our area on Lake Lewisville. You'll pass some $$million + homes, some older mobile homes, and newly built custom homes. Ours is a fully updated and remodeled 1962 lake home, at the end of the road. We have created a private and secluded, safe compound of sorts. Over the years, our family has used this home and continued to modernize it. People in the area are kind and quiet. It's lake life, and we simply love it! We remodeled our home with the nicer things in life, with beautiful finishes utilizing the original shiplap walls and ceilings, all new modern LG high-end appliances, and upscale decor and bedding. We are in a cove right near the Lake Lewisville bridge, but set back with a full view and easy water access to swim, kayak, fish, and relax! Our large outdoor covered area has a wonderful gas grill and lots of furnishings to enjoy the outdoors! You'll need your own transportation in our area. We are a bit off the main road, and in a quiet and secure area on the lake. Uber and Lyft would also serve this area. We offer a pet-friendly space, but require that pets be house-trained and not get into our beds or bedding. Their humans must be responsible for cleaning up daily after them both in the yard and at the lake areas. We want to keep these areas free from pet poo for others that want to enjoy the areas too. Pets must be on flea, tick, and heartworm preventatives (seasonally, there are mosquitos at the lake!). Up-to-date vaccinations are required and vet proof must be sent to the host, prior to arrival. All pets must be listed as well as, all guests, on the reservation. There is a $75 pet fee for the first two pets, and $25 for each additional pet. The initial $75 fee is automatically added to the reservation. Pets must be preapproved. This is a lake house and there are insects in the area which come naturally with the lake environment. We treat for them but be prepared with bug spray and sunscreen. Keep doors to the home closed as much as possible to keep flies and other bugs outside. Open doors can cause the AC to freeze up and the heat not to work well. Keep doors to the home closed to prevent bugs and temperature issues.
