Cozy Cottage @Lake Scugog *Game room*

Bala’s cottage is a tastefully decorated cottage on a quaint hamlet 15 minutes from Port Perry. It is your home away from home. So much to do: BBQ as you enjoy the breathtaking sunset over the lake, relax on the gazebo swing, roast marshmallows in the firepit table in the deck, hit the game room to play Pool, Air-hockey or Table tennis, board games, WFH from the home office with desk & chair. Close to marina where you can rent kayaks, boats, catamarans and launch your own boat to fish. The space This cottage has 3 bedrooms with 3 double beds. It sleeps up to 6 guests. There are 3 big couches in the living room. It has 6 seating in the dining table. The deck has a breakfast table with umbrella, and a gazebo with a swing. There is a hammock on the side of the house to relax and read a book. Barbecue is also in the front deck. Barbecue has a natural gas connection, so no need to bring propane tanks. The BBQ, gazebo, tables and hammock will not be available in winter months (will be covered). The firepit table can be used if it is not snowing or raining. Game room is adjacent to the cottage on the deck. It is a multi-game table. There is one bathroom with a shower. Pet that are well Groomed are allowed, but, please check with us first before booking. Please feel free to ask any questions before booking the stay. Guest access There are couple of rooms outside the cottage that are locked. There is nothing in the room but furnace, hot water tank, water pump and other tools. Guests are able to access any space except the utility and garden room. Other things to note - During the winter months, swing, table, Hammock, BBQ, Firepit table in the deck will be covered during winter months. We will clear the snow as much as possible before your arrival. But, if it snows during your stay and you want to clear it, a shovel is left in the deck, salt will also be left for your use. - Heating during colder months: The main source of heating is a heat pump. You will see two split units in the cottage, one in the living room and other one in the laundry room. Both has been set to a temperature of 72 F, please do not change it as we feel it's ideal and sometimes it gets too hot otherwise. Keep the laundry room open at all times. The secondary gas fired furnace automatically kicks in should there be any issue with the heat pumps. Also, please do not change the thermostat setting for the furnace (remote is for the heat pump and walt mounted thermostat is for the furnace). If you still feel cold in the night inside the bedrooms, you can turn on the space heaters left in the room. - TV can be turned on by pressing the power button on the side of the TV. - NO parties or events. This is a peaceful neighborhood, so please don't do the booking to host any kind of parties or events. - Only the staying guest are allowed in the cottage, outsiders are not allowed for security reasons. - Strictly no smoking inside the house. - Please get approval as part of booking before you decide to bring your pet. Please do not allow any pets in the furniture to avoid damage to the protection covers. Any further damages caused due to pets will be charged. Boat Rental is not available. The launch of Kayak/Canoe or your boat can be done from the Marina around the corner. In winter months, this is not available.
