Private Access to Pembina River with 3 BER Houseđ
Description
Escape to our 80-acre property on the Pembina river and enjoy time connecting with nature and the people you love. A spacious three-bedroom home is yours to enjoy, complete with a private fire pit, barbecue, and huge yard. The river is just a short walk (or two-minute drive) away. At the river, youâll find a large screened gazebo, fire pit area, and groomed walking trails through the forest. Depending on the season, guests can enjoy fishing, swimming, and rafting. The space Enjoy your own private getaway in our newly renovated home, including a large kitchen, three spacious bedrooms, two full bathrooms, two living room areas, a dining room area and a morning room. The house features two decks, including a large covered back deck that overlooks the beautiful forest in the backyard. Weâve set up a bird feeder just outside the windows in the morning room - a popular place for evening and rose-breasted grosbeaks, nuthatches, chickadees, blackbirds, woodpeckers and bluejays. We also have resident hummingbirds who enjoy the feeder on the back deck. Guests have exclusive access to a paved fire pit area and a huge back yard. The yard contains a badminton/volleyball net and a childrenâs play structure - but there is space for soccer, football or baseball games. Youâll also have access to our âsit and thinkâ place- a little space in the forest for remembering. A gravel road leads to the river. Itâs a ten-minute walk through beautiful, peaceful forest. Guests with mobility issues may prefer to drive (a two-minute ride) as the road is a bit steep in the beginning (about a 10-15% grade) but levels soon after. Please note that snowfall can make the road impassible by car in winter. At the end of the road, youâll find a large screened gazebo, fire pit area and barbecue nestled in the forest next to the river. There are groomed walking trails nearby, leading through our property and into the adjacent crown land. Venture into the water to wade, swim, build an inukshuk, catch minnows or whatever your imagination inspires you to do. Or stay on the shore to explore, grab a nap in a hammock or just listen to the sounds of the river and the forest. You may run into the hosts (or visiting family members) by the gazebo, but you will more than likely have the place to yourself. We can set up a generator at the gazebo if youâd like power - for music or lights. (There may be a small fee for gas, depending on level of use). A disco ball is available if youâd like a retro vibe to your night. Or enjoy a fire and the dark - on a clear night, the stars are spectacular! Guest access Upon arrival, hosts Lisa and Bill will likely welcome and provide an orientation to the home and property. If they are unavailable, alternative arrangements will be made for access to the home. Other things to note During winter, driving to the gazebo is not possible due to heavy snowfall. Please park your vehicle in the designated gravel area and avoid parking on the grass. Firewood next to the fire pit is complimentary, but if you require more, kindly inform us. If you plan on arriving after dark, please let us know in advance, so we can leave the lights on for you to access the property easily. Quiet hours in the house start at 11:00 p.m., but there are no noise restrictions at the river. Feel free to howl at the moon or turn up the volume on your music. We look forward to hosting you and your family. Thank you for booking with us.
