Shepherd's Hut in rural Dorset

Get back to basics and connect with nature. Tucked away in the cider orchard at the end of our farm track, Foxwhelp Shepherd’s Hut provides the perfect, peaceful getaway. Skillfully built by its owner Eddie using reclaimed & upcycled materials mainly collected from around the farm, this hut offers complete relaxation. The space Inside there is a small folding table and the comfy double bed transforms into a sofa with plenty of underneath storage. On chilly evenings the log burner will ensure you stay warm and cosy. Outside you can enjoy sitting in deck chairs by the fire pit listening to the woodland sounds and taking delight in the sights of the flower meadow and farm views. Opposite Foxwhelp there is a kitchen equipped with a 2 ring hob etc for your exclusive use. Next door there is a toilet/shower facility that is shared with another hut, with everything you will need to make your stay stress free. Phones etc can be charged in a secure cupboard in the kitchen as there is no electricity in Foxwhelp (There is a battery powered lantern in the hut). Towels and bedding are provided as is a welcome pack containing tea, coffee and milk. Guest access Parking is directly outside the hut on the tarmac. With beautiful walks as you step out the door onto a bridleway, you can follow the surrounding footpaths and explore the stunning countryside or go off road cycling. You can visit the many beaches dotted along the Jurassic Coast , the nearest one is 15 minutes by car. Other things to note A wheel barrow of logs will be provided.
