Located minutes from Highway 80, at the base of Boreal Ski Resort and Woodward, steps away from the Auburn Ski Club, Pacific Crest Trailhead, and Snow-Park, 10 minutes to Donner Lake, 10 minutes to Sugar Bowl. The Chalet is part of a duplex in a small condo community. The unit was completely gutted down to the studs last fall, and we rebuilt this modern, clean getaway. Two stories, 800 square feet, it is designed to maximize space and comfort. Bedrooms and bathroom are on the ground floor, living area and kitchen located upstairs. Views of Castle Creek from the upstairs balcony and downstairs deck. Luxury amenities like heated radiant flooring downstairs, heated toilet seat and bidet toilet, brand new kitchen with gas range, curated selection of high end cooking gear. There is also a JBL portable speaker and gas BBQ provided for your use. Bedrooms are cozy, equipped with chests of drawers to store your belongings, luggage racks, and dedicated space to hang clothing. Beds all have new mattresses and premium linens. The bathroom is large with a walk in shower. Help yourself to shampoo, conditioner, shower gel. Guests have access to the entire unit. We are available via phone and text NOISE Our location is near highway 80 so freeway noise (we like to think of it as white noise ;) is present. The condo is well insulated so inside you may not notice it, and during the winter the snow insulates from the sound as well. SNOW SEASON During the winter snow season this area can get a lot of snow. This year in particular (2023) the quantity of snow has been massive. Although the driveway and roads are cleared regularly, snow removal timing can be unpredictable and we highly recommend 4WD or AWD with snow tires during inclement weather. We provide a shovel and de-icing salt. The snow and ice can be very slippery as well and we recommend snow boots to travel from the parking lot to front door.
