Peaceful rural hideaway

We are in Rockbourne -an area of outstanding natural beauty and is a loft conversion. Consisting of a double bedroom and bathroom there is plenty of natural light and beautiful views. Really quiet and calming, a great place to explore the surrounding area. You can walk in miles of beautiful countryside, be on the beach in 30 mins or just relax at the local pub. You will be hosted by my daughter (Mani) and her partner (Ben) and Duke the gentle greyhound. The space The location of our home is a real gem. Set in an outstanding area of natural beauty and right at the top of the house, so you will have spectacular views. The bedroom is a generous double room with a private bathroom. Cosy and welcoming, you will often be able to hear and see owls, deer, badgers and numerous other wild things from your rooms. We are on the outskirts of a village in a rural area and we are environmentally friendly wherever possible, our garden is wild and bee friendly. Guest access Guests will have use of the top floor (their bedroom and bathroom). You can use the sitting room (with log burner in the autumn and winter), kitchen and garden as you choose. We may be working when you stay so you may have the house to yourselves but we will always be contactable on our phones if you need us During your stay It is entirely up to the guests. In the autumn and winter we have a log burning fire downstairs in the sitting room and you are welcome to use the sitting room, kitchen or garden to suit your own needs. We are happy to provide local recommendations and introduce you to the local area. We also won't be offended if you want to be left alone in peace. Other things to note We are currently redesigning the garden to be wildlife friendly. There is a seating area, patio, barbecue and outdoor fire pit that you can use as you like -for those who like to spend time in the countryside it is a beautiful spot. We have a lovely gentle greyhound called Duke, he will welcome you to our home and then leave you to enjoy your stay. We live on the outskirts of a village. There is no public transport and we are 20 minutes from Salisbury train station. We are rurally isolated and we love that.. but deliveroo doesn't deliver here. We will, however, provide you with all the basics for a simple breakfast - using local ingredients where possible. You will have space in the kitchen cupboard and help yourself to our spices and oils, etc. You can also help yourself to any seasonal produce from the garden. We provide tea and coffee making facilities in your room too.
