Converted stone barn bunk house upgraded to a high standard of warmth & comfort.Sleeps 13 across 5 rooms. Views of the Black Mountains in a small village surrounded by farmland and nature, located in the Brecon Beacons National Park.The lodge is used by hiking groups, cyclists, military personnel & also general holiday makers in pursuit of peace & relaxation or social engagements. No parties of any kind. No noise outside in garden during weekdays after 10PM. No noise after midnight on weekends. The space Keystone is a private bedroom with an en suite bathroom in an old stone barn. This is the largest bedroom in the lodge and has a queen size bed, a new wide screen smart TV, oak floorboards and direct access to the patio & a large garden area. Keystone’s private bathroom is a recently installed fully tiled wet room with a shower, toilet, Italian sink unit with electric mirror and a deep Italian bath. The bath has a fantastic shelf that holds a glass of wine and a tablet for watching movies. There is a solid WIFI access throughout the property. For guests with children Keystone is annexed to the sketch map room with a bunk bed and a single bed sleeping 3-4. Keystone + Sketch map is listed separately. Guests have access to a well-equipped communal kitchen. Oven & electric hob, microwave, two kettles, toaster, coffee grinder & espresso machine. There is a second bathroom (shared if there are other guests) with a luxurious rain shower and temperature upgraded to a very high standard. The upstairs lounge/living area has access, but is currently under renovation. It has high stone walls and traditional oak beams, with plenty of natural light from a large south facing window with views of the Black Mountains. The flooring is recently laid chipboard for structural improvement, with solid oak floorboards to be laid this summer. There are some furnishings limited to an old sofa, chairs, a desk and a camping table. There is also a spare fridge. The living area is in need of some grand designs care and attention, but is still a wonderful space. The host uses it for yoga, eating meals, enjoying a cup of tea and working on the desk. There is a Marshall speaker with great sound to connect to. The lounge area has a stockpile of maps and compasses for those who wish to head up into the hills. The garden area has a wooden chair and tables with plenty of space. There is a lot of birdlife, including red kites who appreciate left over food left at the bottom of the garden. The garden has a small firepit with a military emblem. There is a garage for bike storage. Parking can be found behind the garages next to the village hall. We have a website guidebook with plenty of local area information. Guest access The house serves as a private bedroom - holiday rental and also a bunk house. Keystone is the most popular room, so guests may have the property to themselves as themselves or during high season the kitchen & lounge area may be shared with other guests.
