Welcome to the Ponderosa B&B

Our farm-style B&B is the perfect place to relax in tranquility. Only 20 minutes from Christchurch City and two minutes to the local town, this guesthouse is the perfect rural experience without being far from where you need to go. The Ponderosa B&B is self-contained and independent from the main home, with private access and parking. We welcome dogs and can even arrange grazing for horses. It is fully furnished for your comfort, down to board games, tennis court and fresh chicken eggs. The space We invite you to our B&B-style, rural guest suite. We have provided you with everything you should need... all you will need to bring is a toothbrush! Make yourself feel right right at home and relax with a good book by the log burner, play a board game, or practice your swings on our astro turf tennis court. You can even bring the dog along - or horses for that matter! Relax and unwind in our living area that has many comfortable couches and chairs. There is a log burner, multi-channel TV, stereo, many board games and books to fight over, and even an office work space. The kitchen awaits you to create the perfect B&B breakfast at your leisure. It is equipped with a new induction stove, including the pots and pans, a microwave, refrigerator, cutlery and crockery, glassware and kettle. There will be fresh eggs from our chickens for you to cook to your liking, along with other continental breakfast choices to enjoy with your morning coffee at the breakfast bar or dining table. The bathroom has been recently installed with a new spacious shower and extractor fan, vanity and toilet. There are fresh towels and even a hairdryer, should you need it. The guest suite bed options include a new queen bed and three single beds, all in a common space and screened from other areas. There is plenty of storage space for your luggage in the standing wardrobe, including hangers and an iron. Guest access You will have access to the entire guest suite, attached to our family home, with your own parking and private entrance. Other things to note Please note that we are verdant non-smokers. Smoking is NOT permitted anywhere on our property. Our astro turf tennis court is available for you to use, by arrangement with us. We can also supply racquets & balls as required. There are regular mid-week groups playing on it all year round - you are welcomed to be entertained! You are more than welcome to bring your dog. Please note, we have a friendly farm dog on the property and other farm animals (which are kept fenced). Paddock grazing can even be arranged on our property if you require a place for your horse during your travel.
