Around May the beautiful HUMMING BIRDS arrive and you can also enjoy the COLORFUL DRAGON FLIES as they hover and dart around the pond. \ Plus, in our GARDEN the progression of flowers starts in March with hundreds of daffodils while the cherry tree puts on a beautiful display. All of this is available so you can enjoy our peaceful & beautiful sanctuary nestled in Hideaway Ridge at the foothills of the Smoky Mountains just a few minutes away from the Tanger Outlet Mall, restaurants, entertainment & Dollywood! Your very comfortable, 2 level cabin with 1 bedroom, 2 baths, king and double beds sleeps 3 comfortably. You can grill outside or you can take advantage of the fully equipped kitchen and have a delicious meal in your cabin. On a cool evening, you will also be able to enjoy the gas fireplace. On the lower deck, there is another table and some chairs. Keep an eye out for a close-up of the butterflies, hummingbirds, and dragonflies. The birdhouses beckon a variety of other birds. In particular, we enjoyed watching the blue birds nesting twice in 2021. Also there is a boardwalk that brings you to a covered dock with two chairs on the edge of the pond stocked with fish waiting for that worm. The pond, with a fountain, is fed by five springs and is full year-round. Bring your fishing pole and camera to show your friends the big one you caught! (The pond is on private property so no license is required.) No kidding, we have seen some fish around two feet long as you can see in one of the pictures. My grandchildren and I have enjoyed throwing bread crumbs to the fish and watching them compete for the food as well as fishing ourselves. After a full day of adventures, it’s time to get some sleep on your comfortable mattresses and beds.
