Autonomous sheepfold – not overlooked – Total nature

we have lovingly rebuilt this old bergerie from zero using oak from our own forest in the Ariege and the most ecological methods possible. Totally off grid, solar elec, borehole etc. Situated in the middle of a natural paradise surrounded by the fauna, flora, pleasures and inconvieniences that go with that! Close to the beautiful unspoilt beaches of La Franqui and Leucate and the great wine cellars and restaurants of Fitou, it is the ideal place to recontact with nature and your loved ones. The space Everything is brand new! This is our home from home and as such has been done to a standard not normally seem in rental properties. It has been designed as a very social space for 2 large familys or a big group of friends. A large, light,open plan living/kitchen area greets you on entry. Seperate tv and lounge areas so different needs can be accomadated. Heating comes from a Huge wood stove for winter chills and long nights infront of the fire on a huge 14 seater sofa. The kitchen has a breakfast/apreo bar for 12 so the cook never feels left out. All the kit required for cooking for large numbers of people, 2 ovens, wine cellar etc. The main bedroom is upstairs for a bit of peace if the party goes late. The second bedroom sleeps 8 in luxuary with a raised platform hand built out of oak. We have limited the bathrooms to 1 indoor and 1 outdoor for water saving reasons and there is a seperate flushing toilet inside and a dry one outside. Extra accomadation can be found in a cabin in the woods (sleeps 4) if you need it but it will not be rented seperatly so you have the whole space for yourselves. There are also great spots for camping on site. The outdoors centers around the 'Ruin'. It has a huge BBQ (which can spit roast a whole pig or lamb) and a familly eating table under a pergola or a giant oak party table that seats around 30. A pizza oven/smoker, outdoor sink and bar complete the outdoor setup. There are a few sun beds, giant beanbags, washing station and drying racks for wetsuits, kites and mountain bikes. Guest access The whole 5 acre site is yours. The nearest neighbours are more than 400m away. Other things to note Check in is done up to 8pm, after than a supplement will be charged. A security deposit will also be asked of you on your arrival.
