Ideal for one person who feels at-home in a small, efficiently designed space. Location is best for guests who want easy driving access to downtown Bellingham, local parks, the university etc., but who prefer to stay slightly out of the fray of the city center. Also good spot for accessing Mt Baker and N Cascades NP. The space This is a detached, self-sustaining micro studio next to the main house where the home owner resides (a local teacher). Guests have their own entrance, patio space, and parking area. Studio entrance and guest patio area face away from main house, so both units have their privacy. Kitchenette includes a small sink, single burner induction cook top, fridge/ freezer, microwave, toaster, and electric kettle. Note that there is no oven. Living area has a large drop-down desk and fiber wifi for folks working remotely. Small bathroom with stand-up shower. Note that there is only one small sink in the studio, which is in the kitchen (there is no sink in the small bathroom). Compact, stack washer/dryer is located inside the unit. Guests who wish to be in the heart of downtown—walking distance to coffee shops, restaurants etc.—want to look South of this location. Note that this is not an ADA accessible space due to a small set of rocks stairs leading to the entrance. Guest access Separate entrance and outdoor patio space for guests.
