Private Room in Beautiful Historic Home – Central Location! The space Big old house in the heart of town. The house is shared with other AirBnB guests. The room has a large desk, 200mb wifi, plenty of outlets and luxurious queen-size bed. There is a lock on the door so you can lock the room whenever you leave. It faces a busy road, so expect some road noise during the day, and loud subwoofers occasionally at night. Other than that it's pretty quiet. Guest access This is a home, gladly shared with other friendly Airbnb guests, me, and my son, and of course our cat, Queen Esther. You’ll have access to most of the house, including: A fully stocked kitchen (no need to ask—cook away!) Shared bathrooms (plus a low-traffic full bathroom in the basement—great option during busy mornings) Comfortable shared living areas We keep things casual—it’s a lived-in home, not a hotel—so expect a friendly, down to earth vibe. You will have access to pretty much the whole house, except other people's bedrooms, the garage and the attic. Please feel free to use the kitchen, the appliances and the utensils. You don't need to ask. I cook a lot and have everything you'll need for cooking, so you might as well enjoy it! Some appliances are tucked away in cabinets so if there's anything you need that you don't see, just ask. I'm sure we have it. The bathrooms are shared too. Feel free to use them, but keep in mind they're shared. There's a full bathroom in the basement too that hardly ever gets used. Keep that in mind if you're in a hurry and someone else is hogging the bathroom. If you grew up with siblings, you know how that goes! During your stay I live on-site and am happy to help if you need anything. I usually follow the guest’s lead when it comes to socializing, but I’ve had some really memorable conversations with past guest and I love hearing your stories and experiences. Other things to note 1. Pets live here! 2. Kitchen is for everyone to use. 3. Bathrooms are shared. We're finishing up some remodeling so expect a little bit of mess for the next couple months. Will not affect your room or your sleep at night. We typically don't clean your room during your stay, but we do offer it as an added service. The cost is $$50/hr. You're also welcome to use the vacuum cleaner and cleaning supplies we have here for free. All guests are required to send their ID to the host prior to check-in. All guests with fewer than 4 5-star reviews must submit to a background check prior to booking. This is a pet-friendly home, so if you're allergic please don't book, or plan accordingly.
