Relax and renew in this unique and tranquil getaway. This cozy cabin is family friendly, is on a 23 acre private forest estate, and just 7 minutes from Mendocino village and the coast. The cabin has 2 bedrooms, and sleeps up to 4 people. It has redwood beams, vaulted ceilings, stained glass windows, and a private deck. The cabin and home where the host lives is on a private road, with pond, fruit orchard, and 1/4 mile walking trail to the seasonal fantastic 100 foot waterfall lookout. There are two bedrooms with queen size beds and upstairs is a loft with a twin size futon . The surroundings are extremely quiet, since cabin is situated on 23 acres of mostly redwoods and the area borders Jackson State forest and the other properties along the private road leading to the cabin are a minimum of 20 acres in wooded surroundings. The property is just a mile from the coast and the village of Mendocino, even though it feels very remote and retreat like. The parts of the property to access is the pond with picnic table and fire pit near by. The trail is a casual 1/4 mile long walk and winds through the redwood forest which leads to the waterfall overlook hike. The co host, Veronica, lives on the property and is available to answer any questions you might have. The house her family lives in is nearby on the other side of the fruit orchard. Rural private 500 acres of subdivision containing 27 properties bordering Jackson State Forest. This rural neighborhood consists of private road, Surfwood Drive, and the road the cabin is on, Gulch View Drive Please park on the driveway in front of the cabin near the red garage. Please observe the speed limit of 15 mph to keep the dust down and to help maintain the roads. The wifi is spotty at times due to the cabin's location. The water is from a well and is purified but at times is reddish due to the minerals. Drinking water is provided.
